The second and final day of the Jean Freeman Invitational picked up just where it left off. The Minnesota Gophers, the meet host, won the first 14 events of the day.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day started with the long distance events. In the women\u2019s 1650-yard freestyle <\/span>Sam Harding <\/b>won for the Gophers, posting a time of 16:41.41. Minnesota\u2019s <\/span>Michael Messner <\/b>won for the men with a time of 15:57.40. <\/span><\/p>\n

Minnesota won the women\u2019s 200-yard medley relay in 1:42.50. The team consisted of backstroker <\/span>Zoe Avestruz, <\/b>breaststroker <\/span>Rae Bullinger<\/b>, butterflier <\/span>Allison Schumacher <\/b>and freestyler <\/span>Abigail Raatz. <\/b>The Gophers\u2019 men\u2019s team won in 1:32.16. The team was made up\u00a0of backstroker <\/span>Noah Busch, <\/b>breaststroker <\/span>Erick Sande, <\/b>butterflier <\/span>Ben Bravence <\/b>and <\/span>James Tidd<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the women\u2019s 400-yard individual medley, Minnesota\u2019s <\/span>Brooke Zeiger <\/b>won in 4:18.54, a NCAA \u2018B\u2019 time standard. <\/span>Brian Poon <\/b>won the men\u2019s event for the Gophers with a time of 3:55.88. <\/span><\/p>\n

Schumacher picked up her second win of the day in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.47. Minnesota\u2019s <\/span>Bowen Becker <\/b>picked up the win in the men\u2019s event with a time of 45.36. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dani Bergeson <\/b>won the women\u2019s 100-yard backstroke for the Gophers. She posted a time of 55.89. Busch<\/span> won the men\u2019s race in 51.43. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the women\u2019s 200-yard breaststroke <\/span>Kaela Marcus <\/b>won in a time of 2:17.74 for the Gophers. Minnesota\u2019s <\/span>Conner McHugh <\/b>won the men\u2019s event in 1:59.03, a NCAA \u2018B\u2019 time standard.<\/span><\/p>\n

Schumacher won her third event of the day in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.01. <\/span>Daryl Turner <\/b>won the men\u2019s event for the Gophers in 47.87, a NCAA \u2018B\u2019 time standard.<\/span><\/p>\n

South Dakota State swept the men\u2019s and women\u2019s 400-yard freestyle relay. <\/span><\/p>\n

The South Dakota State women posted a time of 3:32.49. They were led by a 53.01 leadoff leg from <\/span>Hadlie Overhue. <\/b>On the men\u2019s side, South Dakota State posted a 3:05.65.
