Saturday marked the end of the 2015 Hoosierland Invitation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finals started in the afternoon with the men\u2019s and women\u2019s distance events. In the women\u2019s 1500-yard freestyle, Indiana\u2019s <\/span>Haley Lips <\/b>won in 16:11.59. In the men\u2019s 1650-yard freestyle, <\/span>Chris Bready <\/b>brought home the victory for the Hoosiers in 15:10.99. <\/span><\/p>\n

The evening session began with the women 200-yard backstroke. Indiana\u2019s <\/span>Marie Chamberlain <\/b>won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:55.25. After a strong day two, <\/span>Bob Glover <\/b>of Indiana picked up a win in the men\u2019s event. He posted a time of 1:42.02. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cincinnati\u2019s <\/span>Jackie Keire <\/b>won the 100-yard freestyle. She posted a time of 48.35. <\/span>Daniel Kanorr, <\/b>swimming unattached for Indiana, won the men\u2019s event in 43.45. <\/span><\/p>\n

Indiana\u2019s <\/span>Laura Morley <\/b>won the women\u2019s 200-yard breaststroke. Morley won by nearly two seconds with a time of 2:14.49. Indiana\u2019s <\/span>Tanner Kurz <\/b>brought home the title in the men\u2019s event with a time of 1:54.35.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gia Dalesandro <\/b>earned a victory for the Hoosiers in the women\u2019s 200-yard butterfly. She posted a time of 1:56.85. Indiana\u2019s <\/span>Max Irwin <\/b>placed first in the men\u2019s event with a time of 1:43.75, over two seconds ahead of teammate <\/span>Ryan DePietro. <\/b><\/p>\n

Indiana finished in first, second and third place in the women\u2019s 400-yard freestyle relay. Their first place team consisted of Lips, <\/span>Gabi Rajic, Holly Spears <\/b>and <\/span>Grace Vertigans. <\/b>The Hoosiers also won the men\u2019s relay. Their team of <\/span>Oliver Patrouch, Sam Lorentz, <\/b>Kurz and <\/span>Ali Khalafalla <\/b>posted a time of 2:55.42. <\/span><\/p>\n

Much like the first two days of the meet, Indiana dominated on Saturday. Other than the women\u2019s 100-yard freestyle, Indiana won every one of the day\u2019s event. The Hoosiers are ranked 11th nationally on the women\u2019s side and 12th for the men. <\/span><\/p>\n

Many of Indiana\u2019s strongest swimmers did not swim at the meet, instead competing at the AT&T Winter National Championships in Federal Way, Washington. <\/span><\/p>\n
