The third and final day of the 2015 AT&T Winter National Championships saw a myriad of fast swims.<\/p>\n
Michael Phelps\u00a0<\/strong>topped the competition in the men’s 200 fly with a sizzling 1:58.07. Phelps’ fastest time in the event for 2015 is a 1:52.94 from the USA Summer Nationals in San Antonio. Teammate\u00a0Chase Kalisz<\/strong>\u00a0posted the second fastest time of the morning with a 1:58.69, while\u00a0Sebastien Rousseau<\/strong> rounded out the top three with a 1:58.94.<\/p>\n Hilary Caldwell<\/strong> posted the top time of the morning in the women’s 200 back with a 2:11.00.\u00a0Elizabeth Beisel<\/strong> turned in a time of 2:11.39 to return tonight as the second-place seed, and\u00a0Maya\u00a0Dirado\u00a0<\/strong>clocked a 2:11.57 to finish third in prelims.<\/p>\n The men’s 200 back will be an action packed event tonight with\u00a0Patrick Mulcare<\/strong> returning as the top seed with a 1:58.25.\u00a0Arkady Vyatchanin<\/strong> finished second overall in prelims with a time of 1:59.20, while\u00a0Matt Grevers<\/strong>\u00a0was third with a 2:00.05.<\/p>\n Lia Neal<\/strong> dashed to first in the women’s 100 free with a 54.27.\u00a0Abbey Weitzeil<\/strong>\u00a0finished second in prelims with a time of 54.71, while\u00a0Simone Manuel\u00a0<\/strong>will return as the third place seed with a 54.92.<\/p>\n Santo Condorelli\u00a0<\/strong>turned on the heat during the men’s 100 free posting the top time at a 48.80.\u00a0Josh Schneider<\/strong> returns as the second-place seed with a 49.10, and\u00a0Yuri Kisil\u00a0<\/strong>was third overall in prelims with a 49.21.<\/p>\n Kierra Smith<\/strong> cranked out a swift 2:25.55 in the women’s 200 breaststroke to earn the top seed for tonight’s finals.\u00a0Miranda Tucker<\/strong> finished with a time of 2:26.82 to return as the second-place seed, while\u00a0Lilly King<\/strong> took third in prelims with a 2:27.01.<\/p>\n Carlos Claverie<\/b>\u00a0finished first in prelims of the men’s 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:12.45.\u00a0Sam Tierney<\/strong> clocked a 2:13.13 to earn the second-place seed, while\u00a0Brendan McHugh\u00a0<\/strong>returns as a close third-place seed with a 2:13.41.<\/p>\n Taylor Pike<\/strong> and\u00a0Andreina Pinto<\/strong> turned in similar times from heats seven and six respectively.
