After going out hard, he was able to hold off teammate Chase Kalisz who is strong back-half Imer. Eduardo Solaeche narrowly held off David Nolan for bronze getting the edge 2:00.14 to 2:00.15.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Weiss (2:00.19), Patrick Mulcare (2:00.48), Uvis Kalnins (2:00.56) and Dan Wallace (2:01.25) rounded out the A final.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2015 AT&amp;T Winter National Championships Men\u2019s 200m Individual Medley A Final\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I9YOE3XVoIk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><strong>100 fly report:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NBAC\u2019s <strong>Michael Phelps<\/strong> collected another national title as he overhauled California\u2019s <strong>Tom Shields<\/strong> in the men\u2019s 100-meter fly.<\/p>\n<p>Phelps raced his way to a 51.38 to overtake Shields, who placed second in 51.41. \u00a0Phelps stunned the world with a top-ranked time of 50.45 this summer at Nationals in San Antonio, and he\u2019s showing he\u2019s in good form heading down the final stretch to the 2016 Rio Olympics.<\/p>\n<p>Phelps is swimming some of his fastest unshaved times ever, with a pair of sub-52s in one day here in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p>Shields finished half-a-second off his fifth-ranked 51.03 from Worlds as well. \u00a0Auburn\u2019s <strong>Luis Martinez<\/strong> finished third in 52.35.<\/p>\n<p>Canyons\u2019 <strong>Santo Condorelli<\/strong> (52.41), Tucson Ford\u2019s <strong>Masa Kishida<\/strong> (52.73), Santa Clara\u2019s <strong>Kyler Vanswol<\/strong>(53.13), <strong>David Nolan<\/strong> (53.51) and Venezuela\u2019s <strong>Albert Subirats<\/strong> (53.84) also competed in the championship heat.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2015 AT&amp;T Winter National Championships Men\u2019s 100m Butterfly A Final\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/o8tORMfj_po?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It has been a positive two days for the greatest of all time as NBAC&#8217;s Michael Phelps has already won the 200 IM and the 100 fly on back-to-back nights<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":160940,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":false,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"dois","enabled":false},"version":2}},"categories":[3,7],"tags":[55932,6302],"class_list":["post-162988","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-featured","category-usa","tag-2015-usa-swimming-winter-nationals","tag-michael-phelps"],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v24.3 (Yoast SEO v24.3) -
