The winning time of each of the first three events was met the NCAA \u2018A\u2019 time standard. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The meet started with the women\u2019s 200-yard freestyle relay. Virginia took the race with a time of 1:28.05. The team consisted of <\/span><b>Kasey Schmidt, Ellen Thomas, Caitlin Cooper <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and <\/span><b>Courtney Bartholomew. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cooper led the way with a split of 21.66. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Auburn picked up the win in the men\u2019s race. The Tigers posted a time of 1:17.54. <\/span><b>Arthur Mendes, Peter Holoda, Jacob Molacek <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and <\/span><b>Kyle Darmody <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">were the members of the winning team. Darmody led the way with a split of 19.02. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Virginia\u2019s <\/span><b>Leah Smith <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">took home the women\u2019s 500-yard freestyle crown with a time of 4:32.36. The top three women in the event all clocked \u2018A\u2019 time standards. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Georgia\u2019s <\/span><b>Kevin Litherland <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">picked up the win in the men\u2019s 500-yard race. Litherland went a 4:15.10, over two seconds ahead of the second place finisher. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Kaitlyn Jones <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">of Virginia picked up an \u2018A\u2019 time standard in the women\u2019s 200-yard individual medley. Jones posted a time 1:55.10. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the men\u2019s 200-yard individual medley, California\u2019s <\/span><b>Josh Prenot <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">won with a time of 1:43.13. The top five finishers in the race were all within a second of each other. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Olivia Smoliga <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">of Georgia earned an \u2018A\u2019 time standard in the women\u2019s 50-yard freestyle. Smoliga posted a time of 21.86 to win the race. <\/span><b>Michael Trice <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">made the 50-yard race a sweep for the Bulldogs. The senior won the men\u2019s event for Georgia with a time of 19.31. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>The evening concluded with the men\u2019s and women\u2019s 400-yard medley relays.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Virginia won the women\u2019s race, earning an NCAA \u2018A\u2019 time standard. The Cavalier team consisted of Bartholomew, <\/span><b>Laura Simon, Kaitlyn Jones <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and Thomas and went a 3:28.50. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">California brought home the men\u2019s title with an \u2018A\u2019 time standard. The team consisted of <\/span><b>Ryan Murphy, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Prenot, <\/span><b>Justin Lynch <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and <\/span><b>Long Gutierrez. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Going into Saturday, Georgia is first on the men\u2019s side.
