The meet will be in long course format this year, and fans will have a chance to see major national teamers and Olympic champions as they continue their preparation for 2016 Trials. A shortlist of those competing includes Olympic gold medalists <\/span><b>Nathan Adrian, Missy Franklin, Natalie Coughlin, Matt Grevers, Allison Schmitt <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Michael Phelps<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Nearly 40 national team members are expected to compete at the meet as a part of 700 total athletes. USA Swimming will be doing a live broadcast of the meet, while NBC will also be televising highlights of the action on Sunday, December 6th from 1-2 p.m. EST. As reported last week, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/towson-university-concedes-to-team-request-names-jake-shrum-acting-head-coach\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">f<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">irst year assistant <\/span><b>Jake Shrum<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been named as the interim head coach<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in light of the investigation, leaving head coach <\/span><b>Pat Mead<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, head diving coach <\/span><b>Maureen Mead<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and assistant coach <\/span><b>Adrienne Phillips<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> removed from the team\u2019s coaching staff News broke this week <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/towsons-maureen-mead-charged-with-3-counts-in-connection-with-video-recording\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that <\/span><b>Maureen Mead <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be charged with three counts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in connection to the ongoing investigation. The event featured a bounty of Australian, Commonwealth, and All-Comer records, with a few World Records as well throughout the four day competition. Leading the charge was Aussie backstroke star <\/span><b>Mitch Larkin, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who is fresh off <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/swimming-world-performance-of-the-week-mitch-larkins-100-backstroke\/\">a dominant performance in\u00a0the backstroke events throughout the World Cup circuit<\/a>. <\/span><b>Larkin<\/b> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/mitch-larkin-breaks-200-back-world-record-first-under-146\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">broke the 200 backstroke world record<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> while also <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/race-video-mitch-larkin-smokes-50-back-australian-record-22-91\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">setting an Australian record in the 50 backstroke<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/race-video-mitch-larkin-scares-100-back-world-record\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">scaring the world record in the 100 backstroke<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Not to be outdone, on the last day of the meet sprint star <\/span><b>Cate Campbell <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">became <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/race-highlights-cate-campbell-breaks-100-free-world-record\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the first woman under :51 in the short course 100 freestyle<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> en route to breaking the existing world record.
