On the first day of the Minnesota Girls A State Championships, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/lindsey-horejsi-annie-dolan-break-records-in-prelims-of-minnesota-state-high-school-girls-championship\/\"><b>Horejsi <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">broke the national independent high school record in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching in an incredible 58.56<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in prelims. That swim\u00a0broke <strong>Kasey Carlson\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0record of 58.75 that was set back in 2009. <strong>Horejsi\u00a0<\/strong>then came back to win the event in finals, touching only a tenth slower than the new record to take the win in 58.66. She<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also recorded a 26.25 breaststroke split as part of Albert Lea\u2019s winning 200 medley relay (1:43.61) and won the 50 freestyle in 22.79. Both of those events were Minnesota Class A records as well. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Horejsi\u2019s <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">performance was a major drop for her (her previous best was a 59.56) and should be a signal for big things to come both this summer (her LCM best is 1:08.99 from this summer). Her performance will also make her an immediate impact in the fall of 2016 when she will join the already formidable breaststroke squad at the University of Minnesota. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span
