Earlier this week, it was reported that the Towson Tigers were planning to <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/towson-tigers-planning-peaceful-boycott-of-pittsburgh-dual-meet\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">peacefully boycott the team\u2019s meet against the University of Pittsburgh<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> until further details regarding the investigation were released. The next day, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/towson-university-concedes-to-team-request-names-jake-shrum-acting-head-coach\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Towson University placed first year assistant <\/span><b>Jake Shrum<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as the interim head coach.<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This removes head coach <\/span><b>Pat Mead<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, head diving coach <\/span><b>Maureen Mead<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and assistant coach <\/span><b>Adrienne Phillips<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the team\u2019s coaching staff. <\/span><b>Tim Perkins<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has also been hired as the temporary Diving Coach. As France is still mourning and recovering from the attacks, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/french-swimmers-honoring-paris-victims-at-french-short-course-nationals\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">swimmers at the Short Course Nationals honored the victims of the Paris <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by wearing caps that read \u201cFluctuat Nec Mergitur.\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This is a Latin phrase meaning &#8220;Tossed But Not Sunk&#8221; and is the motto of Paris. The meet featured fast swimming in the face of national adversity, and was one more mark of resilience of the French people. Several swimmer\u2019s across the country posted nation-leading times while several others achieved \u2018A\u2019 qualifying times for NCAA\u2019s. The Nike Cup, Tennessee Invite, Art Adamson Invite, A3 Performance Invite, Georgia Tech Invite, and the Ohio State Invite were just a few of the many competitions underway this week. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While there was plenty of fast swimming across the country, <\/span><b>Caeleb Dressel <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">proved to be a stand-out in the NCAA.
