For more information about Agon, visit their website\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.agonswim.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The 2015 Washington Girls High School State Championships took place this past weekend at the King County Aquatics Center with the three separate divisions running at separate times.<\/p>\n<h3>2A<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Krista Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>of Ellensburg blasted to the top of the podium in the 200 free, posting a winning time of 1:55.27.\u00a0<strong>Ellie Hohensinner<\/strong> of Liberty (Renton) turned in a 1:57.67 for second, while\u00a0<strong>Ella Van Troba\u00a0<\/strong>of Naches Valley was third with a 1:58.06.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor McCoy<\/strong> of Pullman pulled away from the competition in the 200 IM leaving a gap between herself and the competition. McCoy turned in a final time of 2:07.82. Squalicum&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yanran Le<\/strong> and Liberty (Renton&#8217;s)\u00a0<strong>Abby Russell<\/strong>\u00a0kept it close for second and third. Le stopped the clock at 2:11.02 over Russell&#8217;s 2:11.63.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mackenzie Norman<\/strong> of Cheney earned her first win of the day in the 50 free, posting a final time of 24.22. Later, Norman continued her sprinting prowess in the 100 free finishing with a time of 52.74, shaving .41 seconds off her prelims time of 53.15.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kaelee McCloskey<\/strong>\u00a0of Archbishop Murphy grabbed a win in the 100 fly with a time of 58.72. SQUA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia Nielsen<\/strong> finished second in the event with a 59.06, while Highline&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Reva Zacharias<\/strong> delivered a time of 59.57 for third.<\/p>\n<p>McCoy neared the AAA time standard of 55.31 in the 100 back with a time of 56.45, finishing over two seconds ahead of the competition.\u00a0<strong>Lauryn Hepp<\/strong> of Liberty (Renton) took second with a time of 58.76 and was the only other athlete in the event under the one-minute mark.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Event Winners:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Ellie Hohensinner<\/b>, Liberty (Renton) &#8212; 500 Free (5:07.66)<\/li>\n<li><strong>McKenna Troje<\/strong>, Sammamish &#8212; 1 Meter Diving (294.55)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Yanran Le<\/strong>, Squalicum &#8212; 100 Breast (1:04.68)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Liberty (Issaquah) High School were the overall winners of the meet.<\/p>\n<h3>3A<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cameron Smith<\/strong> of Seattle Preparatory School and\u00a0<strong>Hannah Shabb<\/strong> of Lakeside (Seattle) battled for first in the 200 free, but it was Smith who got to the wall first. Smith stopped the clock at a 1:52.11 over Shabb&#8217;s 1:52.76.<\/p>\n<p>Smith grabbed her second win of the day in the 500 free posting a final time of 4:58.64 to make her the only athlete under the five-minute mark in the event.<\/p>\n<p>Senior<strong> Jocelyn Crawford\u00a0<\/strong>of Garfield ended her high school career by collecting a pair of wins. Crawford first showed her speed in the 50 free, turning in a final time of 23.41, down .24 seconds from her prelims time of 23.65. Crawford&#8217;s time was .49 seconds off the state record of 22.92.<\/p>\n<p>Crawford grabbed her second win of the day in the 100 back finishing with a time of 56.37, finishing almost two seconds ahead of the competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sabrina Kwan<\/strong>\u00a0of Mercer Island and\u00a0<strong>Mandolin Nguyen<\/strong> of Franklin kept it close in the 100 fly, finishing less than a second apart. Kwan won out with a time of 56.44, while Nguyen settled for second and a time of 56.83.<\/p>\n<p>Nguyen would go on to win a tight battle with\u00a0<strong>Angela Gagliardo<\/strong> of John F. Kennedy in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.55. Gagliardo took second with a time of 1:04.65.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Event Winners:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Angela Gagliardo<\/strong>, John F. Kennedy &#8212; 200 IM (2:05.14)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Marley Cross<\/strong>, Garfield &#8212; 100 Free (51.65)<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lakeside (Seattle) High School were the overall winners of the meet.<\/p>\n<h3>4A<\/h3>\n<p>Freshmen\u00a0<strong>Yulia Groysman<\/strong> of Newport (Bellevue) and\u00a0<strong>Sarah DiMeco<\/strong> of Skyline got the meet to a quick start by turning in a pair of 1:51&#8217;s in the 200 free. Groysman grabbed the win with a time of 1:51.21 over DiMeco&#8217;s 1:51.52.<\/p>\n<p>The two young stars continued their battle for the middle-distance titles into the 500 free, where the pair were once again 1-2. Groysman delivered a swift 4:56.68 for the title, while DiMeco finished second with a 5:00.13.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nicole Limberg<\/strong> of Jackson collected a pair of individual wins over the course of the day. Limberg first pulled away from the competition in the 200 IM, finishing with a 2:05.17, over two seconds ahead of the second place finisher.<\/p>\n<p>Limberg later stopped the clock at a 1:03.53 for a win in the 100 breaststroke. Skyline&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Danika Himes<\/strong> came in second with a 1:04.88, while Gig Harbor&#8217;s <b>Ursula Andren<\/b> finished third with a 1:05.02.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jessica Wierzbicki<\/strong> of Wenatchee and\u00a0<strong>Emma Carlton<\/strong> of Mount Vernon kept it close in the 100 fly, finishing .02 second apart.
