SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n Katie Ledecky<\/strong> of Nation’s Capital cruised to another first place finish and a new pool record in the women’s 800 free posting a final time of 8:19.16. Ledecky’s time sits only 12 seconds off her world record time of 8:07.39.<\/p>\n Ledecky’s 8:19.16 replaces the former pool record of 8:31.23 set in 2011 by Camille Muffat.<\/p>\n Fellow distance star\u00a0Becca Mann<\/strong> of North Baltimore stuck close to Ledecky for a second place finish with a final time of 8:21.77, also under the former pool record.<\/p>\n Mission Viejo’s\u00a0Stephanie Peacock<\/strong> turned in a time of 8:28.39 to grab third in the event, finishing just shy of her 2015 world best of 8:28.25 from this summer’s US Nationals in San Antonio.<\/p>\n Leah Smith<\/strong>, swimming unattached, slipped to fourth in the event with a final time of 8:30.27.<\/p>\n North Baltimore teammates\u00a0Cierra Runge<\/strong> and\u00a0Sierra Schmidt\u00a0<\/strong>finished fifth and sixth respectively. Runge stopped the clock at 8:31.64, while Schmidt turned in a final time of 8:35.16.<\/p>\n Trojan Swim Club’s\u00a0Haley Anderson<\/strong>\u00a0stuck close to Schmidt finishing a slim .04 behind her with a time of 8:35.19.<\/p>\n Sam Harding\u00a0<\/strong>of the University of Minnesota finished eighth in the event with a time of 8:40.36.<\/p>\n Caitlin Leverenz<\/strong> of Cal held off the competition in the women’s 200 IM posting a final time of 2:11.24. Leverenz’s time better the pool record of 2:11.53 set by Ariana Kukors in 2008.<\/p>\n Melanie\u00a0<\/strong>Marsalis<\/b>\u00a0closed the gap between herself and Leverenz during the back half of the race but it was not enough to catch Leverenz. Margalis finished second overall with a time of 2:11.99, securing the gap between the top two finishers and the rest of the A final.<\/p>\n Justine Bowker<\/strong> delivered a third place finish with a time of 2:15.18, just ahead of Louisville’s\u00a0Tanja Kylliainen<\/strong>. Kylliainen finished fourth with a time of 2:15.37.<\/p>\n Becca Mann<\/strong> made a quick turn around after finishing second in the women’s 800 free by posting a final time of 2:15.67, good for fifth place.<\/p>\n Sarah Henry<\/strong> took sixth in the event, stopping the clock at 2:16.33, while\u00a0Brooke Zeiger<\/strong> finished seventh with a 2:17.81.<\/p>\n Cal’s\u00a0Elizabeth Pelton<\/strong> rounded out the top eight with a time of 2:20.31.<\/p>\n Michael Phelps<\/strong> of North Baltimore held off the competition in the men’s 200 IM keeping a body length between him and the competition for the majority of the race. Phelps stopped the clock at the 1:59.30 mark, finishing less than five seconds off his 2015 best of 1:54.75 from the US Nationals in San Antonio.<\/p>\n Conor Dwyer<\/strong> of Trojan Swim Club managed to close the gap slightly, finishing just over a second behind Phelps with a time of 2:00.73.<\/p>\n Louisville’s\u00a0Carlos Claverie<\/strong> posted a final time of 2:03.04 to grab third in the event, dropping .23 seconds off his prelims time of 2:03.27.<\/p>\n Guillermo Blanco<\/strong>, swimming unattached, took fourth overall with a time of 2:04.18, shaving a total of .88 seconds from his prelims time of 2:05.06.<\/p>\n North Baltimore’s \u00a0Chase Kalisz<\/strong> finished fifth in the event with a 2:04.30, while Louisville’s\u00a0Nolan Tesone<\/strong> kept it close with a 2:04.48 for sixth place.<\/p>\n Dan Wallace<\/strong>\u00a0posted a final time of 2:04.75, good for a seventh place finish, while\u00a0Austin Surhoff<\/strong> of North Baltimore turned in a 2:04.86 for eighth.<\/p>\n Missy Franklin\u00a0<\/strong>of the Colorado Stars dashed to first in the women’s 200 back with a final time of 2:07.24. Franklin’s time was quick enough to lower her own pool record of 2:08.03 from 2011.<\/p>\n Stanford’s\u00a0Maya DiRado\u00a0<\/strong>took second overall with a final time of 2:08.85, dropping 3.56 seconds from her prelims time of 2:12.41.<\/p>\n Dominique Bouchard<\/strong> rounded out the top three finishers with a time of 2:09.47, making them the only three athletes under the 2:10-mark.<\/p>\n Kylie Masse<\/strong> finished fourth overall with a time of 2:13.38, while\u00a0Regan Smith<\/strong> turned in a 2:13.72 for a close fifth.<\/p>\n Cal’s\u00a0Elizabeth Pelton<\/strong> was sixth overall with a time of 2:14.93.<\/p>\n Melanie Klaren<\/strong> (2:15.62) and\u00a0Brooke Zeiger<\/strong> (2:18.46) finished seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n Arkady Vyatchanin<\/strong> delivered a swift 1:57.30 for first in the men’s 200 back, finishing just shy of his 2015 world best of 1:56.31 from last spring’s Charlotte stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series.<\/p>\n Louisville’s\u00a0Gregory Tarasevich<\/strong> turned in a time of 1:59.67 for second, shaving 2.06 seconds off his prelims time of 2:01.73. Teammate\u00a0Aaron Greene<\/strong>\u00a0finished third overall with a 2:00.57.<\/p>\n Corey Okubo<\/strong> turned in a time of 2:01.93, good enough for fourth, while\u00a0Paul Le<\/strong> posted a 2:02.88 for fifth.<\/p>\n Sixth place went to\u00a0Pedro Oliveira<\/strong> and his time of 2:03.87.\u00a0Markus Thormeyer<\/strong> delivered a time of 2:06.63 for seventh overall.<\/p>\n Nolan Tesone<\/strong> of Louisville rounded out the top eight with a time of 2:10.82.<\/p>\n Simone Manuel<\/strong>, swimming unattached, grabbed first in the women’s 100 free with a final time of 54.19. Manuel’s time lowered the pool record from its former 54.27, set in 2011 by Missy Franklin.<\/p>\n The young\u00a0Abbey Weitzeil\u00a0<\/strong>put up a good fight turning in a time of 54.46 for second, while North Baltimore’s\u00a0Allison Schmitt<\/strong> finished third with a 54.90.<\/p>\n Distance All-Star\u00a0Katie Ledecky<\/strong> demonstrated some speed by picking up a fourth place finish with a final time of 54.95.<\/p>\n Cal’s\u00a0Camille Cheng<\/strong> grabbed fifth overall with a time of 55.09, while\u00a0Missy Franklin<\/strong> of Colorado Stars took sixth in the event with a 55.26.<\/p>\n Amanda Weird<\/strong> posted a final time of 55.78, good for seventh in the event and\u00a0Shannon Vreeland<\/strong> rounded out the top eight with a time of 56.11.<\/p>\n Cal’s\u00a0Nathan Adrian<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Santo Condorelli<\/strong>\u00a0battled throughout the men’s 100 free for first, but it was Adrian who won out, stopping the clock at 48.49. Adrian’s time was good for a new pool record, lowering the former record of 48.60 set in 2013 by\u00a0Brett Fraser<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Condorelli settled for second and a time of 48.65, shaving a total of .29 seconds off his prelims time of 48.94.<\/p>\n Joao De Lucca<\/strong> delivered a 49.35 to round out the top three finishers.<\/p>\n Marcelo Chierighini<\/strong>, swimming unattached, turned in a time of 49.63 for fourth, while Trojan Swim Club’s\u00a0Conor Dwyer<\/strong> took fifth overall with a time of 49.85.<\/p>\n Sixth went to\u00a0Yuri Kisil<\/strong> and his time of 49.97, while\u00a0Renzo Tjon A\u00a0<\/strong>Joe\u00a0<\/b>finished seventh in the event with a 50.32.<\/p>\n Geoff Cheah<\/strong> rounded out the top eight with a final time of 50.42.<\/p>\n Michael McBroom<\/strong> soared ahead of the competition to first in the men’s 1500 free with a time of 15:14.82.<\/p>\n American record holder\u00a0Connor Jaeger<\/strong> finished second overall with a time of 15:19.59, while Trojan Swim Club’s\u00a0Ous\u00a0<\/strong>Mellouli\u00a0<\/b>took third in the event with a 15:21.32.<\/p>\n Marcelo Acosta<\/strong> delivered a final time of 15:26.20 for fourth overall in the event.<\/p>\n Nation Capitol’s\u00a0Andrew Gemmell<\/strong>\u00a0stopped the clock at 15:35.47, good for fifth overall in the event.<\/p>\n Mission Viejo’s\u00a0Grant Shoult’s<\/strong> grabbed sixth in the event with a time of 15:40.38.<\/p>\n Arturo Perez Vertti<\/strong> (15:47.00) and\u00a0Daniel O’Connor<\/strong> (15:48.45) finished seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Everything you need to follow along with finals\u00a0live during the 2015 Arena Pro Swim Series Minneapolis.
