Swimming at the Shark Tank Short Course Meters Meet, Sarasota took the record to a new level by breaking a big barrier.<\/p>\n<p>The foursome of <strong>Jack Groselle, Rick Walker, Kevin McCormack<\/strong> and <strong>Steven Newman<\/strong> posted an 8:52.73 to obliterate the mark of 9:00.30 that Ventura had set last December.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarasota relay splits:<\/strong><br \/>\nGroselle: 2:06.81<br \/>\nWalker: 2:18.50<br \/>\nMcCormack: 2:17.08<br \/>\nNewman: 2:10.34<\/p>\n<p>Before Ventura Masters nearly cracked the 9:00 barrier last year, Sarasota had owned the world record with a 9:02.15 from earlier in the year. This is the second world record of 2015 for Groselle and Walker, as they teamed up with <strong>Laura Groselle<\/strong> and <strong>Nancy Kryka<\/strong> for a world mark in the mixed 800 free relay
