The two-day 2015 ASAA State Championships finished today in Anchorage, Alaska with multiple athletes collecting more than one win.<\/p>\n

On the men’s side it was Dimond High School who took home the win with a total of 104.5 points. Kodiak High School was second overall with a total of 81.5 points, while Soldotna High School collected 66 points for third.<\/p>\n

Talon Lindquist<\/strong> of Kodiak finished ahead of the competition in the men’s 200 free with a 1:40.60, dropping 3.57 seconds from his prelims time of 1:44.17.\u00a0Alex Suleimani<\/strong> of Lathrop grabbed second with a final time of 1:42.84, shaving 2.48 seconds from his prelims time. Third went to\u00a0Will Pate<\/strong> of Sitka and his time of 1:44.24.<\/p>\n

Jarod O’Brien<\/strong>\u00a0of Dimond dashed ahead of the competition in the men’s 200 IM with a time of 1:54.55, improving upon his prelims time of 1:56.34 by 1.79 seconds. Second was\u00a0Bergen Davis<\/strong> of Thunder Mountain with a 1:57.24, while third was grabbed by\u00a0Joseph Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>of Colony and his time of 1:59.68.<\/p>\n

Nathaniel Adams<\/strong>\u00a0of Service neared the state record in the men’s 50 free with his time of 21.02. The current record stands at a 20.91.\u00a0Cody Watkins<\/strong> of Soldotna claimed second and was the only other athlete under the 22-second mark with a time of 21.67.\u00a0Caleb Law<\/strong> of Service rounded out the top three with a time of 22.17.<\/p>\n

Lindquist claimed his second win of the weekend in the men’s 100 fly turning in a final time of 50.05, nearing the state record of 49.19. Watkins settled for second and a time of 51.82, while third went to\u00a0Jake Simmons\u00a0<\/strong>of Colony and his time of 52.16.<\/p>\n

Adams continued his sprint prowess by adding a win in the men’s 100 free with a time of 46.56.\u00a0Reed Dittlinger<\/strong>\u00a0of Dimond grabbed second place with a time of 47.69, while\u00a0Ryan Emili<\/strong>\u00a0of South Anchorage took third with a time of 48.24.<\/p>\n
