GILLETTE, Wyoming, October 31. CAMPBELL County ran away with the Wyoming 4A women's high school state team title, winning in by less than a 100-point margin.<\/p>\n
Central wound up second with 257.5 points, while Laramie rounded out the top three with 160.5 points.<\/p>\n
The Campbell County relays brought out the metaphorical brooms, reigning victorious in each of the three events. T.J. Padova, Meghan Swirzcki, Kelly McMahill and Brenda Bishop joined up in the 200 medley relay, besting Central's contingent by less than a second in a final time of 1:51.95. Campbell County's 200 freestyle relay contingent of Bishop, McMahill, Hayley Wasserburger and Madisen Roberts touched first in a 1:43.37 time while the grouping of Roberts, Hannah Thorfinnson, Swirzcki and Padova closed out the meet with a 3:38.52 win in the 400 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n
Morgan Craver from Central paced the competition in the longer-distance freestyle events, snaring a title in both the 200 freestyle (1:56.59) and the 500 freestyle (5:16.36).<\/p>\n
Swirzcki notched a convincing win in the 200 IM (2:09.78), and followed it up with a stellar showing in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.17).<\/p>\n
Padova helped Swirzcki with representation of Campbell County among the meet's most elite swimmers, taking state titles in both the 50 (24.37) and 100 (52.88) freestyles.<\/p>\n
Campbell County snatched up the top spot in the diving competition through senior Tiffany Izatt, who compiled a final score of 432.35. Janine James of East and Sasha Andrie of Campbell County took second and third with scores of 330.10 and 324.45, respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
