CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee, October 9. BAYLOR Swim Club's Dan Flack was named 2007 Coach of the Year for Southeastern Swimming. The award was voted on by the coaches of Southeastern Swimming, an organization consisting of all USA Swimming clubs in Alabama, Tennessee, and North Florida. <\/p>\n

In Flack's first year as head coach of the Baylor Swim Club, the program had a new Olympic Trials qualifier and three new national qualifiers, while seven athletes made the Southern Zone All Star meet with three winning events. <\/p>\n

The club broke more than 30 team records, set four Southeastern Swimming records, and had three different athletes rank in the top five nationally in an individual event for their age group. Baylor also won its division at the Southeastern Long Course Championships for the first time and scored the most points in club history. Flack also won the TISCA Boys Coach of the Year for the 2006-07 high school season, leading the Baylor boys program to its first state title since 1997 and a seventh-place finish in Swimming World Magazine's<\/i> Independent High School National Championships. <\/p>\n
