The competition featured mostly sprint events, with a distance freestyle event thrown in for good measure.<\/p>\n<p>The meet was unscored, but Stanford clearly had the upper hand, winning all the events. The meet featured 50- and 100-yard distances of each stroke, as well as a 500 free and 200 IM. The meet wrapped up with a 200 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<p>Five Stanford Cardinal swimmers each won two events. <strong>Patrick Conaton<\/strong> won the meet\u2019s first event \u2013 the 50 backstroke \u2013 with a 23.14 by just a hundredth of a second over freshman teammate <strong>Ryan Dudzinski<\/strong>. Conaton was largely unchallenged later in the meet in the 100 back, winning with a 49.69.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christian Brown<\/strong> won the 50 breast with a 25.85, then had two teammates push him in the 100 breast. Brown won the 100 breast with a 56.39, ahead of the 56.82 by <strong>Matt Anderson<\/strong> and the 56.85 by <strong>Daniel Le<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Connor Black<\/strong> won both butterfly events, with <strong>Gray Umbach<\/strong> and <strong>Andrew Liang<\/strong> right at his shoulder. Black took the 50 fly with a 22.03 with Umbach second in 22.12 and Liang third in 22.23. In the 100 fly, Black managed the win with a 48.45 over the 48.63 from Umbach and the 48.98 from Liang.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sam Perry<\/strong> was the top sprint freestyler of the day, winning the 50 free in 20.50 and the 100 free in 44.61. <strong>Max Williamson<\/strong> mixed it up with a win in the 200 IM with a 1:48.44 and a 1:38.49 to win the 200 free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Danny Thomson<\/strong> won the 500 free by more than five seconds with a 4:25.84.
