Today marks the second episode\u00a0of Spindrift Beck\u2019s<\/strong> podcast entitled Swimcerely With Spindrift<\/a>. In this second edition, Beck talks with Olympic gold medalist Alyssa Anderson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Anderson won an Olympic gold medal as part of the 800-meter freestyle relay at the 2012 London Olympics. \u00a0She also won a silver medal at the 2009 World Championships in Rome as part of the same relay. She split her time between those two big outings with a gold medal in the same relay at the 2011 World University Games in Shenzhen.<\/p>\n

Anderson swam collegiately for the University of Arizona, and is part of a family that has produced three NCAA Division I swimmers. \u00a0Haley went on to swim for the University of Southern California and won an Olympic silver medal in the open water 10K in London. \u00a0Jordan, the youngest of the family, now swims for the Utah Utes as a freshman.<\/p>\n

Swimcerely with Spindrift<\/strong> is a podcast that showcases conversations with high school, collegiate, pro, and Olympic swimmers\u2019 about their likes, dislikes, career, goals, and more. Each episode centers on a different swimmer, giving a behind-the-scenes look at what makes these athletes tick and, in some cases, what separates them as some of the best swimmers in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy favorite podcasts are ones that feature actors, writers, and comedians speaking not just about their craft but about their favorite restaurants, TV shows, telling funny stories, etc. With 2016 fast approaching, I wanted to try to bring that sort of format to swimming, so that fans can have a new type of unfiltered access to their favorite swimmers.
