The Tigers host the SEC Championships, one of collegiate swimming and diving\u2019s most competitive meets, at the Mizzou Aquatic Center for the first time <span data-term=\"goog_740755181\">Feb. 16-20<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The Tigers open the season at home at the Mizzou Aquatic Center on <span data-term=\"goog_740755182\">Oct. 2<\/span> with the 10th annual Show-Me Showdown, where Mizzou will be joined in the pool by nine other Missouri universities: Drury, Lindenwood, Maryville, Missouri S&amp;T, Missouri State, Truman State, Missouri-Saint Louis, Washington University and William Jewell.<\/p>\n<p>Following the Showdown, Mizzou hosts SEC foe Tennessee on <span data-term=\"goog_740755183\">Thursday, Oct. 15<\/span>. The women then head to Dallas, Texas, <span data-term=\"goog_740755184\">Oct. 16-17<\/span> to compete in the SMU Classic against Florida State, Louisville, TCU, UCLA and host SMU.<\/p>\n<p>Mizzou welcomes Kentucky, Northwestern and Southern Illinois to the Mizzou Aquatic Center, <span data-term=\"goog_740755185\">Nov. 6-7<\/span>, for a two-day quad dual. The dual between the Missouri and Kentucky will serve as the official teams\u2019 SEC matchup for the season.<\/p>\n<p>From <span data-term=\"goog_740755186\">Nov. 19-21<\/span> the Tigers travel to Knoxville, Tenn., to compete in the Tennessee Invite. The meet serves as Mizzou\u2019s mid-season taper event to earn NCAA qualifying cuts for bids to the NCAA Championships.<\/p>\n<p>With the swimmers idle until January, the Mizzou divers will compete at the USA Diving Winter National Championships in Indianapolis, Ind., <span data-term=\"goog_740755187\">Dec. 15-20<\/span>. The divers then head to Athens, Ga., <span data-term=\"goog_740755188\">Jan. 1-3<\/span> for the three-day Georgia Diving Invite.<\/p>\n<p>The Tigers continue dual competition with three-straight road meets in mid-January. First up is a trip to Baton Rouge, La. on<span data-term=\"goog_740755189\">Jan. 14<\/span> to face SEC opponent LSU. The following week, Mizzou travels to Springfield, Mo., for meets against Drury on <span data-term=\"goog_740755190\">Jan. 22<\/span>and Missouri State on <span data-term=\"goog_740755191\">Jan. 23<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Postseason competition comes to the Mizzou Aquatic Center <span data-term=\"goog_740755192\">Feb. 16-20<\/span> as Mizzou hosts the 2016 SEC Championships. The event, which features 12 women\u2019s teams and 10 men\u2019s teams, features six men\u2019s and six women\u2019s programs that finished in the top-16 at the 2015 NCAA Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Following SECs, Tiger women who need NCAA qualifying times will travel the NCAA Last Chance Meet in West Lafayette, Ind., on <span data-term=\"goog_740755193\">Feb. 27<\/span>, while the men will head to Austin, Texas, for the American Short Course Championships, <span data-term=\"goog_740755194\">March 3-5<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>From <span data-term=\"goog_740755195\">March 7-9<\/span>, the Mizzou divers will vie for NCAA Championship berths at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships in College Station, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>The 2016 NCAA Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s Swimming and Diving Championships will both be held in Atlanta, Ga., on the campus of Georgia Tech one week apart.
