2015 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships: Live Results – Results<\/a><\/p>\nMEN’S 200 BACK<\/strong><\/p>\nLuke Greenbank<\/strong> of Great Britain turned in a time of 1:58.90 to claim the first place seed in the men’s 200-meter back during prelims of day six.<\/p>\nAustin Katz<\/strong> of the USA finished second overall in prelims with a time of 1:59.52. Katz added slightly to his seed time of 1:59.14. Katz and Greenback were the only two athletes under the 2-minute mark.<\/p>\nSpain’s\u00a0Hugo Gonzalez\u00a0<\/strong>took third with a time of 2:00.03, shaving .56 seconds off his seed time of 2:00.59.<\/p>\nJacopo Bietti<\/strong> of Italy turned in a time of 2:00.32 to grab the fourth place seed.<\/p>\nRussia’s\u00a0Roman Larin\u00a0<\/strong>was a close fifth with a time of 2:00.37 from heat four.<\/p>\nPoland’s\u00a0Jakub Daniel Skierka<\/strong> claimed the sixth place seed with a time of 2:00.76 in heat six, while\u00a0Michael Taylor<\/strong> of the USA placed close behind with a 2:00.78 from heat five.<\/p>\nTristan Ludlow<\/strong> of Australia rounded out the top eight with a time of 2:01.61.<\/p>\nWOMEN’S 200 BREAST<\/strong><\/p>\nViktoria Zeynep Gunes<\/strong> of Turkey continued to impress finishing first in the women’s 200-meter breast with a time of 2:24.47. Gunes finished close to the championship meet record of 2:23.12 set by\u00a0Viktoriya Solntseva<\/strong> in 2013.<\/p>\nGreat Britain’s\u00a0Georgia Coates<\/strong> grabbed the second place seed with a qualifying time of 2:26.42, dropping time from her seed time of 2:28.75.<\/p>\nMariia Astashkina<\/strong> of Russia was a close third posting a finishing time of 2:26.59 from heat four.<\/p>\nItaly’s\u00a0Giulia Verona<\/strong> finished fourth overall with a time of 2:27.25 from heat four, while Great Britain’s\u00a0Katie Matts<\/strong> grabbed a close fifth from heat five with a time of 2:27.39.<\/p>\nJapan’s\u00a0Runa Imai\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed the sixth place seed with a final time of 2:27.86.<\/p>\nRussia’s\u00a0Sofia Andreeva<\/strong> turned in a finishing time of 2:28.03 for the seventh place seed, and Japan’s\u00a0Yukino Miyasaka\u00a0<\/strong>was eighth overall in a time of 2:30.39.<\/p>\nMEN’S 200 FLY<\/strong><\/p>\nJapan’s\u00a0Nao Horomura\u00a0<\/strong>finished first overall in the men’s 200-meter fly with a time of 1:58.77. Horomura added slightly to his seed time of 1:57.46.<\/p>\nRussia’s\u00a0Daniil Pakhomov<\/strong>\u00a0grabbed second overall with a time of 1:58.96, adding to his time of 1:56.97. Both Pakhomov and Horomura’s seed times put them in a good position to challenge the championship meet record of 1:56.42 set by\u00a0Andrew Seliskar\u00a0<\/strong>in 2013.<\/p>\nMike Thomas<\/strong> of the USA grabbed third overall in prelims with a time of 1:59.63.<\/p>\nBulgaria’s\u00a0Antani Ivanov<\/strong> finished fourth in prelims with a time of 1:59.71 from heat four.<\/p>\nMark Tekauer\u00a0<\/strong>of Hungary claimed the fifth place seed with a time of 2:00.02.<\/p>\nNew Zealand’s\u00a0Willrich Coetzee<\/strong> and Italy’s\u00a0Giacomo Carini<\/strong>\u00a0posted similar times from separate heats to grab the sixth and seventh place seeds. Coetzee finished sixth overall with a time of 2:00.15 from heat six, while Carini posted a 2:00.29 from heat five for the seventh place seed.<\/p>\nZach Harting\u00a0<\/strong>of the USA finished eighth with a time of 2:00.47.<\/p>\nWOMEN’S 200 FREE<\/strong><\/p>\nTaylor Ruck<\/strong> of Canada blazed to first in prelims of the women’s 200-meter free posting a finishing time of 1:59.34. Ruck’s time is less than half a second off the championship meet record of 1:58.93 set by\u00a0Brittany Maclean<\/strong> in 2011.<\/p>\nHannah Cox<\/strong> of the USA posted a close time of 1:59.52 to claim the second place seed from heat seven.<\/p>\nJapan’s\u00a0Sachi Mochida<\/strong> was a close third, also from heat seven, posting a time of 1:59.89.<\/p>\nItaly’s\u00a0Rachele Ceracchi<\/strong> finished fourth overall with a time of 2:00.77, adding slightly to her seed time of 2:00.59.<\/p>\nRussia’s\u00a0Arina Openysheva\u00a0<\/strong>and Brazil’s\u00a0Rafaela Raurich<\/strong> turned in close times from heat eight to grab the fifth and sixth place \u00a0seeds.
