THE Vasby Simsallskap team of Ida Sandin (58.50), Josefin Lillhage (55.04), Petra Granlund (55.73) and Malin Svahnstrom (56.78) dropped nearly a second off the Swedish national standard in the women&#39;s 400 freestyle relay at the Swedish National Championships held in Halmstad.<\/p>\n<p>The quartet clocked a time of 3:46.05 to drop the previous standard set by the club in 2005 of 3:46.79.<\/p>\n<p>National record holder Lillhage also came within a second of her record time of 1:57.78 set earlier this summer with a winning time of 1:58.59 in the women&#39;s 200 free, while Carin Moller held off Erika Hegestig (1:05.54) and Elin Harnebrandt (1:05.86) to win the women&#39;s 100 backstroke in 1:04.96.<\/p>\n<p>In the next final, Jonas Andersson easily captured the men&#39;s 200 breast in 2:17.27, while world record holder Therese Alshammar clocked a 25.87 to win the 50 fly, .41 seconds off her global standard time of 25.46 set in June.<\/p>\n<p>Lars Frolander, the Swedish record holder in the men&#39;s 50 fly, touched first in that event with a time of 24.25, while Erik Dorch (24.62) and David Nordenlilja (24.74) rounded out the top three.<\/p>\n<p>Hanna Eriksson emerged from a competitive pack in the women&#39;s 50 breast with a time of 32.25, while Rebecca Ejdervik (32.69) and Joline Hoglund (32.71) finished second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Konstantin Sundin closed out the individual finals with a win in the men&#39;s 200 back when he stopped the clock in 2:07.32.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HALMSTAD, Sweden, July 27.
