OLYMPIAN Kirsty Coventry, representing Zimbabwe, added two more gold medals on the final night of competition at the All Africa Games held in Algiers, Algeria.  The double gave her a total gold-medal haul of seven throughout the meet.<\/p>\n<p>Coventry clocked a quick time in the 200 IM for her seventh gold when she touched in 2:13.02.  The effort would have placed her in fourth this year if she hadn&#39;t already been second with a 2:10.76 recorded during the World Championships in March.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Coventry captured the women&#39;s 50 free splash-and-dash title in 26.19.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, South Africa continued to dominate the bulk of the meet with four more gold medals.  The team of Amanda Loots, Melissa Corfe, Leizl-Mari Burger and Suzaan van Biljon won the 400 medley relay in 4:10.90, while Corfe clocked a Games-record 4:15.53 in the 400 free.<\/p>\n<p>Other wins for South Africa came from Gerhard Zanberg in the 100 back (56.53) and Troyden Prinsloo with a Games-record time of 15:24.93 in the 1500 free.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Algeria&#39;s Salim Iles again gave the home crowd something to cheer for with a Games-record time of 22.34 to win the men&#39;s 50 free, while Kenya&#39;s Jason Dunford stopped the clock in a Games-record time of 2:02.82 in the 200 butterfly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ALGIERS, Algeria, July 18.
