DURING today&#39;s swimming competition at the All Africa Games held in Algiers, Algeria, the South Africans won another four gold medals.<\/p>\n<p>Natalie du Toit, who usually competes in disability events due to losing part of her left leg in 2001, won the 1500 free in 17:09.05 with a Games record effort.  <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Amanda Loots hit the wall in a Games-record 2:14.28 in the 200 fly, while Suzaan Van Biljon claimed the 50 breast in a Games-record 32.62.  <\/p>\n<p>The final South African gold came from the 400 freestyle relay team of Gerhard Zandberg, Thabang Moeketsane, George Du Rand and Gideon Louw clocking a 3:44.92, which now stands as an African record.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Kenya&#39;s Jason Dunford broke the 50 butterfly Games record both in prelims and en route to the title in finals. Dunford first touched the wall in 24.07 in prelims, before coming back at night to clock a 23.91 for the title.<\/p>\n<p>Also, Zimbabwe&#39;s Kirsty Coventry captured the 200 back in a Games-record 2:10.66, while Tunisia&#39;s Ahmed Mathlouthi won the 200 IM in 2:05.21.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ALGIERS, Algeria, July 17.
