The swim also vaulted Gomes Jr. to seventh in the world rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Silva took second tonight in 27.13, just off his ninth-ranked 27.07 from the Maria Lenk Trophy meet. \u00a0<strong>Felipe Lima<\/strong> wound up third in 27.40.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marcelo Chierighini<\/strong> claimed the meet record in the men&#8217;s 100-meter free with a top time of 48.43.<\/p>\n<p>That swim eclipsed the 49.00 set by <strong>Nicholas Dos Santos<\/strong> in 2009, but came up short of Chierighini&#8217;s 10th-ranked season best of 48.27 from Worlds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matheus Santana<\/strong> took second in a time of 48.82, while<strong> Fernando Pires<\/strong> claimed third in 49.04.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duane Da Rocha Marce<\/strong> clipped the meet record in the women&#8217;s 200-meter back with a 2:12.49. \u00a0That swim cleared the 2:12.64 set by <strong>Fernanda Barbosa<\/strong> back in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrea Berrino<\/strong> took second in 2:16.63 with <strong>Florencia Perotti<\/strong> placing third in 2:17.07.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jhennifer Conceicao<\/strong> just missed the meet record in the women&#8217;s 50-meter breast with a 31.50 for the win. \u00a0That came up just short of the 31.44 set by <strong>Alessandra Marchioro<\/strong> back in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor McKeown<\/strong> came up short of a breaststroke sweep with a second-place time of 31.91, while<strong> Julia Sebastian<\/strong> took third in 32.13.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Larissa Oliveira<\/strong> topped the women&#8217;s 100-meter fee in 55.29, while <strong>Daynara De Paula<\/strong> placed just behind in second with a 55.32. <strong>Manuella Lyrio<\/strong> rounded out the top three in 55.80.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leonardo De Deus<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 200-meter back in 1:59.17. \u00a0<strong>Fernando Pires<\/strong> claimed his second podium of the night with a second-place 2:00.02 with <strong>Guilherme Guido<\/strong> placing third in 2:00.91.<\/p>\n<p>Minas&#8217; <strong>Tatiana Adorno, Taylor McKeown, Daiene Marcal Dias<\/strong> and <strong>Daiane Becker<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 400-meter medley relay in 4:06.78, while Pinheiros&#8217; <strong>Daniel Orzechowski, Joao Gomes Jr., Guilherme Rosolen<\/strong> and <strong>Bruno Fratus<\/strong> posted a men&#8217;s 400-meter medley relay time of 3:35.40 for the win.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/results\/2015-jose-finkel-trophy-day-6\/international-elite\/2015\/August\/17\" target=\"_blank\">2015 Jose Finkel Trophy: Day 6 &#8211; Results<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joao Gomes Jr. took down the meet record in the men&#8217;s 50-meter breast at the 2015 Jose Finkel Trophy.
