{"id":151115,"date":"2015-08-20T21:54:38","date_gmt":"2015-08-21T04:54:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=151115"},"modified":"2015-08-20T21:54:38","modified_gmt":"2015-08-21T04:54:38","slug":"taylor-mckeown-tops-100-breast-meet-record-in-2015-jose-finkel-trophy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/taylor-mckeown-tops-100-breast-meet-record-in-2015-jose-finkel-trophy\/","title":{"rendered":"Taylor McKeown Tops 100 Breast Meet Record in 2015 Jose Finkel Trophy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Taylor McKeown<\/strong> twice lowered the meet record in the women&#8217;s 100-meter breast at the 2015 Jose Finkel Trophy.<\/p>\n<p>McKeown clocked a 1:09.34 in prelims to down <strong>Julia Sebastian&#8217;s<\/strong> 2013 mark of 1:09.44. \u00a0McKeown then won finals in 1:08.23.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jennifer Conceicao<\/strong> placed second in 1:09.09, under the former meet mark, while Sebastian claimed third in 1:09.95.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Felipe Silva<\/strong> lowered the meet record in the men&#8217;s 100-meter breast.<\/p>\n<p>He clocked a 1:00.15 in finals to beat <strong>Joao Gomes Jr&#8217;s<\/strong> mark of 1:00.47 from 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Gomes took second in 1:00.27 with<strong> Felipe Lima<\/strong> earning third in 1:00.41 in a close finish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joanna Maranhao<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 200-meter fly in 2:13.75.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Manuella Lyrio<\/strong> placed second in 2:14.19 with <strong>Giovanna Tomanik<\/strong> taking third in 2:15.95.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leonardo De Deus<\/strong> raced his way to a 1:56.53 in the men&#8217;s 200-meter fly for the win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kaio Almeida<\/strong> placed second in 1:57.80 with <strong>Lucas Salatta<\/strong> finishing third in 1:58.29.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miguel Valente<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 800 free in 8:08.68. <strong>Luiz Rogerio Arapiraca<\/strong> placed second in 8:09.25 with <strong>Lucas Kanieski<\/strong> earning third in 8:09.39.<\/p>\n<p>Pinheiros&#8217; <strong>Manuella Lyrio, Joanna Maranhao, Luana Ribeiro<\/strong> and <strong>Larissa Oliveira<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 400-meter free relay in 3:42.64.<\/p>\n<p>Their teammates <strong>Marcelo Chierighini, Gabriel Silva, Henrique Rodrigues<\/strong> and <strong>Bruno Fratus<\/strong> topped the men&#8217;s 400-meter free relay in 3:15.57.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/results\/2015-jose-finkel-trophy-day-4\/international-elite\/2015\/August\/17\" target=\"_blank\">2015 Jose Finkel Trophy: Day 4 &#8211; Results<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Taylor McKeown twice lowered the meet record in the women&#8217;s 100-meter breast at the 2015 Jose Finkel Trophy.
