That swim clipped her previous record of 3:21.61 from May.<\/p>\n<p>Romania&#8217;s <strong>Ioan Stefan Gherghel<\/strong> of Gold Stars Baia Mare posted a world-record time of 58.86 in the men&#8217;s 35-39 100-meter backstroke. \u00a0That swim lowered the previous record of 59.04 set by Germany&#8217;s <strong>Stev Theloke<\/strong> in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil&#8217;s <strong>Marcus Mattioli<\/strong> of Minas Tenis Clube downed the world record in the men&#8217;s 55-59 200-meter fly with a time of 2:16.78. \u00a0That effort cut two seconds off the previous record of 2:18.97 set by USA&#8217;s <strong>Brad Horner<\/strong> in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meet Records<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hungary&#8217;s <strong>Bela Banki Horvath<\/strong> of Murena Szegedi Uszo clocked a meet-record time of 7:29.12 in the men&#8217;s 95-99 200-meter breaststroke.<\/p>\n<p>Horvath was at it again in the men&#8217;s 95-99 100-meter back with a meet-record effort of 2:32.01.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s <strong>Georgiy Chizhevskiy<\/strong> of Gavrylych Swim Club set a meet record in the men&#8217;s 90-94 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 5:46.95.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s <strong>Vitalij Borisov<\/strong> of Sura turned in a meet-record time of 56.20 in the men&#8217;s 25-29 100-meter back.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s <strong>Larisa Nagovitskyna<\/strong> of Tsunami powered her way to a meet record in the women&#8217;s 55-59 200-meter fly with a time of 2:51.48.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/results\/2015-fina-world-masters-championships-day-6\/international-masters\/2015\/August\/10\" target=\"_blank\">2015 FINA World Masters Championships: Day 6 &#8211; Results<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With just one more day left, a trio of FINA Masters World Records took a fall at the 2015 FINA World Masters Championships.
