ERIN Greene, who joined SwimmingWorldMagazine.com last summer as its first Newsmaster intern and later earned a promotion to Assistant Newsmaster of the site has been hired by USA Swimming in a full-time capacity in a newly-created position as Communications Coordinator.<\/p>\n

Greene recently completed degrees in professional writing and English at OSU after finishing her career as a member of the OSU swimming and diving team last year. She joined the Ohio State media relations department as the school's swimming & diving and rowing contact during her fifth year at the university. She also served as the news editor for UWeekly<\/i>, the school's newspaper, and as an editorial intern for the Columbus-based magazine company, The Publishing Group, Ltd.<\/p>\n

Swimming World Magazine – Newsmaster Internship<\/b>
\nSports Publications International, publishers of Swimming World Magazine<\/i> and SwimmingWorldMagazine.com, are seeking qualified individuals for multiple Newsmaster Intern positions.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for a selected news channel; assisting with other news channel coverage; developing original premium content; and editing press releases sent to SwimmingWorldMagazine.com from various public relations entities across the world. The position requires excellent writing skills, flexible hours (including some weekend work) and a working knowledge of the sport of swimming.<\/p>\n
This is a semester-long, or year-long, for-credit Internet-based position starting when it best suits the successful candidate's academic plan. There is no need for relocation.<\/p>\n
