Dressel clocked 48.78 to win the event over <b>Jack Conger<\/b>. Dressel&#8217;s time ranks as the second best in the world this year by an American, behind just <b>Nathan Adrian&#8217;s<\/b> 48.31 from Worlds.<\/p>\n<p>After the race, Dressel discussed his race plan, explaining why he expected to be behind from the gun and use his back half speed to catch up.
