Hit refresh\u00a0for\u00a0the latest coverage.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100-meter Free<\/h3>\n<p><b>Caeleb Dressel<\/b>\u00a0opened night four of USA Nationals with a scorching win in the men&#8217;s 100-meter free. Dressel dropped 0.20 from his morning swim to clinch the national title in 48.78. He turned in a 23.33 on the first half of his race and came home with a 25.45. The Florida Gator was yet again the only swimmer in the field under 49 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Dressel also broke his own\u00a0National Age Group record which stood at 48.97.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jack Conger<\/strong>\u00a0continued his string of successful swimming with a 49.05 silver-medal finish, splitting 23.66 and 25.39.\u00a0<strong>William Copeland<\/strong>\u00a0earned third with his 49.09.\u00a0<strong>BJ Hornikel<\/strong>\u00a0touched just outside the top three in 49.40, while\u00a0<strong>Michael Chadwick<\/strong>\u00a0clocked in at a 49.41. Stanford&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>David Nolan<\/strong>\u00a0moved up one spot to take sixth with a 49.54.<\/p>\n<p>Despite leading the race at the 50-meter mark,\u00a0<strong>Cullen Jones<\/strong>\u00a0fell all the way to seventh in 49.56.\u00a0<strong>Joe Bonk\u00a0<\/strong>rounded out the championship final with a 49.69.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200-meter Fly<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Hali Flickinger\u00a0<\/strong>gutted out a 2:07.59 en route to winning tonight&#8217;s 200-meter fly finals at USA Nationals. Flickinger dropped 1.21 seconds from her prelims swim to recapture her spot atop the event. Flickinger outlasted\u00a0<strong>Cassidy Bayer<\/strong>\u00a0who finished a close second in 2:08.03. Bayer held the lead early, until Flickinger seized the\u00a0race\u00a0on the final 100 meters.<\/p>\n<p>Flickinger: 28.29\/31.80\/33.23\/33.64<\/p>\n<p>Bayer: 28.40\/32.12\/33.52\/33.99<\/p>\n<p>Flickinger&#8217;s time now places her tenth-fastest in the world.\u00a0<strong>Kelso Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>finished first in prelims, but decided to scratch from the event.\u00a0<strong>Christina Bechtel<\/strong>\u00a0took advantage of Worrell&#8217;s absence to vault into the top three with her 2:09.20.\u00a0<b>Alys Margaret Thomas<\/b>\u00a0followed Bechtel with a 2:09.59.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katherine Mills<\/strong>\u00a0registered fifth in 2:09.59, while\u00a0<strong>Hannah Kukurugya<\/strong>\u00a0(2:12.13),\u00a0<strong>Victoria Edwards<\/strong>\u00a0(2:12.49), and\u00a0<strong>Lauren Case<\/strong>\u00a0(2:13.45) closed out the championship final.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200-meter IM<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Michael Phelps<\/strong>\u00a0almost outdid himself. After three lengths of the men&#8217;s 200-meter IM under World Record pace, Phelps clocked the fastest time in the globe with a 1:54.75. Although his time was just short of\u00a0<strong>Ryan Lochte<\/strong>&#8216;s 1:54.00 World Record, it was unquestionably fast enough to be the top time in the world this year.<\/p>\n<p>Three days ago at the FINA World Championships in Kazan, Lochte swam a 1:55.81 to claim the world&#8217;s fastest time. It was short lived. Phelps busted out the first 50 meters in a lightning quick 24.65. From there, the crowd in San Antonio cheered Phelps on to a momentous and dominant win<\/p>\n<p>Phelps: 24.65\/28.49\/33.34\/28.27<\/p>\n<p>This became Phelps&#8217;s third swim of the weekend to register first in the world, a truly remarkable accomplishment on his comeback trail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will Licon\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 1:58.43, an impressive time for the Nitro swimmer.\u00a0<strong>Travis Mahoney<\/strong>\u00a0climbed to third in 1:59.41 to earn the bronze medal.\u00a0<strong>Austin Surhoff<\/strong>\u00a0wound up fourth with a 1:59.44.\u00a0<strong>Eduardo Solaeche-Gomez<\/strong>\u00a0earned fifth with a 1:59.81.<\/p>\n<p>400 IM national champion\u00a0<strong>Gunnar Bentz<\/strong>\u00a0posted a 2:00.16 to get sixth, while\u00a0<strong>Max Litchfield<\/strong>\u00a0(2:00.93) and\u00a0<strong>Ryan Harty<\/strong>\u00a0(2:02.99) claimed the final two spots.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200-meter Back<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Claire Adams<\/strong>\u00a0will leave San Antonio with at least two national titles. After winning the 100-meter back on Friday, Adams claimed the 200 back\u00a0championship\u00a0with her 2:09.44 at finals of USA Nationals. Adams swam a spectacular race that vaulted her to 17th in the world rankings. Adams was in a close duel with tonight&#8217;s top seed\u00a0<strong>Danielle Galyer,\u00a0<\/strong>who ended up second in 2:09.75.<\/p>\n<p>Adams: 30.88\/32.59\/33.61\/32,36<\/p>\n<p>Galyer: 30.74\/32.62\/33.53\/32.86<\/p>\n<p>The 200 fly champion\u00a0<strong>Hali Flickinger\u00a0<\/strong>made the podium with her 2:10.60 despite swimming in lane eight.\u00a0<strong>Melanie Klaren<\/strong>\u00a0swam a 2:11.43 to take fourth, and\u00a0<strong>Clara Smiddy\u00a0<\/strong>wound up fifth in 2:11.53.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lisa Bratton\u00a0<\/strong>(2:11.60),\u00a0<strong>Erin Earley\u00a0<\/strong>(2:12.11), and\u00a0<strong>Megan Romano<\/strong>\u00a0(2:12.26) claimed the final spots in tonight&#8217;s final individual event.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 4 x 200-meter Free Relay<\/h3>\n<p>Wisconsin Aquatics closed out night four of USA Nationals with a 7:23.37 win in the men&#8217;s 4 x 200-meter free relay. The Wisconsin men, comprised of\u00a0<strong>Ryan Stack<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cannon Clifton<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Matthew Hutchins<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Nathan Mueller<\/strong>\u00a0dethroned the top seeded California Aquatics.<\/p>\n<p>Stack &#8211; 1:51.87<\/p>\n<p>Clifton &#8211; 1:50.02<\/p>\n<p>Hutchins &#8211; 1:48.51<\/p>\n<p>Mueller &#8211; 1:52.97<\/p>\n<p>Cal took second with in 7:25.38, just ahead of NOVA&#8217;s 7:25.78. The University of Kentucky placed fourth in 7:27.59, in front of their in-state rivals from the University of Louisville (7:28.86). Tennessee Aquatics clocked a 7:29.08 to finish sixth, while Stanford fell to seventh with a 7:29.12.
