Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> of Hungary blasts to the top of the 200 back field, posting a 2:06.18 to claim the top seed for tomorrow’s finals. Hosszu’s new time is a best for her for 2015, previously she posted a 2:06.81 at the Golden Tour, Nancy meet in France. Hosszu’s time breaks a 24-year-old Hungarian record set by\u00a0Krisztina Egerszegi<\/strong> of 2:06.62 from 1991.<\/p>\n

Despite a final 50 meters that was .70 seconds faster than Hosszu’s, Australia’s\u00a0Emily Seebohm<\/strong>\u00a0settled for the second-place seed with a finishing time of 2:06.56. This improves upon her best time of 2:06.69 for 2015.<\/p>\n

USA’s\u00a0Missy Franklin\u00a0<\/strong>turned in a 2:07.79 for the third-place seed. This improves upon her time of 2:07.84 from earlier in the meet.<\/p>\n

Canada’s\u00a0Dominique Bouchard<\/strong> snagged fourth with a 2:08.16, improving upon her prelims time of 2:08.66.<\/p>\n

Russia’s\u00a0Daria Ustinova<\/strong> (2:08.74) and Canada’s\u00a0Hilary Caldwell<\/strong> (2:08.99) claimed fifth and sxith\u00a0respectively.<\/p>\n

Eyglo Gustafsdottir<\/strong> (1:09.04) and\u00a0Jenny Mensing<\/strong>\u00a0(2:09.16) complete tomorrow’s finals line-up for the event.<\/p>\n
