That was on day one and we\u2019re past that. It was one event, and it was an important event for us, no doubt. He singled out some performances that stood out among the American men so far, including <strong>Connor Jaeger<\/strong> in the 400 free final and <strong>David Plummer<\/strong> in the 100 back semifinal.<\/p>\n<p>He said the next few days will show the American strength, and he said the positive performances helped to \u201clift us up as a group.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re advancing through the stages, moving through what we need to do,\u201d he said. \u201cI think our guys know that the latter half of this meet \u2026 is where we start to
