With that on his mind, he said he was thrilled to be on the medal podium.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA silver medal is nothing to be sad about,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>After his semifinal swim, he said he was dealing with injuries that put him off his game last year. With those healed, Van Der Burgh said he was happy to be able to train as hard as he needed to in order to challenge for a world championship title.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a lot easier to race when you\u2019re in better condition,\u201d he said. \u201cBeing able to race injury-free is a big bonus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><font color=green>Listen To Interview On Swimming World
