The Mt. Hood Futures Championship concluded today in Gresham, Oregon with swimmers finishing the four day meet with continually impressive swims. Haley Yelle<\/strong> had one of the most dominant\u00a0swims of the evening, dominating the women’s 1500-meter freestyle by 22 seconds. Her win secured her triple crown in the 400-800-1500 races. Kendall Brown<\/strong> followed to post a time of 17:11.99. Amanda Barnes<\/strong> followed closely behind with a 17:12.62.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the evening in the women’s 100-meter freestyle, Lauren Moden<\/strong> held on for the win, throwing down a 57.05 to secure first place. She was followed by Mikeala Dahlke<\/strong> who was just behind with a close 57.21. The bronze went to Lauren Green<\/strong> who posted a 57.70.<\/p>\n

In the men’s 100-meter freestyle, Simon Pheasant<\/strong> added another victory to his sprinting prowess after his win in the 50-meter freestyle earlier in the meet. Pheasant posted a 51.39 to outtouch Liam O’Haimhirgin’s<\/strong> effort of 51.54. They were followed by Dillon Williams<\/strong> who was third in 51.59.<\/p>\n

The women’s 200-meter back went to Elsa Litteken<\/strong> who was 2:18.54. She was followed by Loree Olson<\/strong> who finished in a time of 2:19.45. Joanna Curry<\/strong> was third in 2:20.47.<\/p>\n

The men’s 200-meter back was dominated by Brendan Barry<\/strong> who was 2:05.66. In second Tyler Lis<\/strong> finished in a time of 2:06.85. Jack Murphy<\/strong> was third in 2:07.45.<\/p>\n

Shane Forker<\/strong> followed up his victory in the 1500 freestyle in the men’s 800-meter freestyle with a time of 8:20.50. Marc Morizono<\/strong> was second, finishing in 8:23.69, while Eric Fierro<\/strong> was third in 8:24.24.<\/p>\n

In the final individual event of the evening, Jordan Anderson<\/strong>\u00a0won the women’s 200-meter IM in a time of 2:20.98. Laura Laderoute<\/strong> was second in 2:21.25, and Lauren Green<\/strong> followed in a close third, posting a 2:21.83.<\/p>\n

Bradley Cline<\/strong> and Keltan Lawler<\/strong> battled throughout the entire men’s 200-meter IM with Cline ultimately touching the wall first in a time of 2:04.67. He was followed by Lawler who finished in 2:04.83. Both men were under the Olympic Trials qualifying time. Michael White<\/strong> was third in 2:06.06.<\/p>\n

The meet wrapped up with a close race in the women’s 400-meter medley relay. Strong swims from the Tualatin Hills Swim Club’s team of Sofia Nosack<\/strong> (1:06.86) Blaise Wittenauer-Lee<\/strong> (1:11.78) Caitlyn Wilson<\/strong> (1:06.11) and Alysha Bush<\/strong> (57.15) secured the win in a time of 4:21.90. Second place went to the Marine Pirates’s team of Cali Raukar<\/strong> (1:05.49) Claire Beaty<\/strong> (1:14.32) Sophia Dal Porto<\/strong> (1:04.89) and Madeleine Salesky<\/strong> (57.73) for a time of 4:22.43. The David Arden Racing Team’s group of Joanna Curry<\/strong> (1:06.60) Halladay Kinsey<\/strong> (1:15.75) Elizabeth Menzmer<\/strong> (1:02.86) and Claire Pinson<\/strong> (57.49) for a time of 4:22.70.<\/p>\n

On the men’s side, the Los Angeles Swim Club’s team of Colin Lynch<\/strong> (58.26) John Copses<\/strong> (1:06.40) Yoessef Tibazi<\/strong> (55.01) John Chu<\/strong> (53.41) secured the win in a time of 3:53.08. North Bay Aquatics’s group of Bradley Cline<\/strong> (58.71) Aidan Cumming<\/strong> (1:06.82) Sheldon Boboff<\/strong> (57.51) and Nicholas Bigot<\/strong> (51.31) were second in 3:54.35. In third, Orinda Aquatic’s group of Cole Stevens<\/strong> (58.91) Dominic Baldwin<\/strong> (1:07.31) Jolen Griffin<\/strong> (55.32) and Talbot Jacobs<\/strong> (53.29) came together for a time of\u00a03:54.83.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
