She knows that part of the process of improving in swimming means best times will not happen in every race, despite the effort you put into it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe I disappointed you guys, but it doesn\u2019t disappoint me,\u201d she told reporters minutes after posting a 3:59.13 in the final, her third-fastest performance ever to give her the three fastest in history. She said her coach, <strong>Bruce Gemmell<\/strong>, advised her to be aggressive on the opening 100, but do it in a controlled manner.
