The highlight of night three at the USA Swimming Summer Junior Nationals came from the A final of the men’s 100 fly, as Michael Andrew<\/strong> swam a 52.57 to break the 15-16 National Age Group Record and meet record. The previous NAG was 52.75 set by Justin Lynch in 2013.\u00a0Andrew was just off the World Junior Record of 52.52, and\u00a0went out in a 24.36, .14 seconds faster than he did in his prelim swim of 52.86.<\/p>\n

Maxime Rooney<\/strong> got the silver in this event with a time of 53.40. He was followed by Mathias Oh<\/strong> and Michael Thomas<\/strong> who tied for third in 53.84. Alex Valente<\/strong> (54.11), Ariel Spektor<\/strong> (54.58), Cameron Craig<\/strong> (55.06) and Mark Jurek<\/strong> (55.07) rounded out the top eight finishers.<\/p>\n

Will MacMillan<\/strong> swam a 54.73 to win the B final, while Kyle Grissom<\/strong> went a 54.18 to take the C final. Both swims were Olympic Trials Cuts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
