Hit refresh for the latest coverage.<\/p>\n<h3>Scheduled events:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Women&#8217;s\u00a0400 free<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 400 free<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 100 fly<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 100 fly<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 800 free relay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 400 freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor Ruck<\/strong> of Scottsdale Aquatics swam away with this event from the start. The early leader took the event in 4:13.84, only .3 off of her best. It was a tight race for second as Tennessee Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Erica Laning<\/strong> bested Santa Clara&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarah Shimomura<\/strong> 4:15.77 to 4:15.82. All eight swimmers in the A final achieved Olympic Trials cuts, including: <strong>Amanda Nunan<\/strong> (4:16.09), <strong>Kahra Williams<\/strong> (4:17.28), <strong>Joy Field<\/strong> (4:17.75), <strong>Karling Hemstreet<\/strong> (4:17.89) and <strong>Jennifer Campbell<\/strong> (4:17.95).<\/p>\n<p>The B final was dominated by <strong>Anya Egorova<\/strong> of Gulliver Swim Club from start to finish. She clocked an Olympic Trials qualifying time with her swim of 4:16.88. <strong>Sophie Cattermole<\/strong> of Sarasota YMCA won the C final with a time of 4:17.77, also achieving\u00a0an Olympic Trials cut and best time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 400 freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nitro Swimming placed first and second in the men&#8217;s 400 free with <strong>Sean Grieshop<\/strong> (3:52.60) and <strong>Chris Yeager<\/strong> (3:54.14). Grieshop&#8217;s strong back half propelled him to victory and a best time.\u00a0<strong>Parks Jones<\/strong> (3:56.13), <strong>Aaron Apel<\/strong> (3:56.78), <strong>Trey Freeman<\/strong> (3:56.92),\u00a0<strong>Cole Buese<\/strong> (3:57.34), <strong>Brendan Meyer<\/strong> (3:59.45) and <strong>James Murphy<\/strong> (4:00.37) rounded out the A final.<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee&#8217;s <strong>Walker Higgins<\/strong> swam a blazing 3:54.02 to take the B final. Walker came into this meet at 4:01.74, swam a 3:58.57 to qualify for Olympic Trials in the morning session, then dropped four more seconds at night. Higgins lead the race from start to finish. SwimAtlanta&#8217;s<strong> Cody Bekemeyer<\/strong> won the C final in a best time of 3:57.30.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 100 fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Three women broke the 1:00 barrier in the A final. All Star Aquatics&#8217; <strong>Caroline McTaggart<\/strong> got her hands on the wall first in 59.47, followed by <strong>Bailey Nero<\/strong> (59.62) and <strong>Ella Eastin<\/strong> (59.80). <strong>Victoria Edwards<\/strong> (1:00.04), <strong>Madeline Banic<\/strong> (1:00.21), <strong>Mackenzie Rumrill<\/strong> (1:00.23), <strong>Tevyn Waddell<\/strong> (1:00.34) and <strong>Remedy Rule<\/strong> (1:00.70) placed fourth through eighth in the event.<\/p>\n<p>SwimAtlanta&#8217;s <strong>Haley McInerny<\/strong> took the B final in 1:00.39, while Walnut Creek Aquatics&#8217; <strong>Brittany Usinger<\/strong> won the C final in 1:00.06.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 100 fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the night came from the A final of this event, as <strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> swam a 52.57 to break the 15-16 National Age Group Record and meet record. The previous NAG was 52.75 set by Justin Lynch in 2013.\u00a0Andrew was just off the World Junior Record of 52.52. Andrew\u00a0went out in a 24.36, .14 seconds faster than he did in his prelim swim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maxime Rooney<\/strong> got the silver in this event with a time of 53.40. He was followed by <strong>Mathias Oh<\/strong> and <strong>Michael Thomas<\/strong> who tied for third in 53.84. <strong>Alex Valente<\/strong> (54.11),<strong> Ariel Spektor<\/strong> (54.58), <strong>Cameron Craig<\/strong> (55.06) and <strong>Mark Jurek<\/strong> (55.07) rounded out the top eight finishers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will MacMillan<\/strong> swam a 54.73 to win the B final, while <strong>Kyle Grissom<\/strong> went a 54.18 to take the C final. Both swims were Olympic Trials Cuts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 800 free relay<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The team of <strong>Cole Buese<\/strong>, <strong>Coleman Stewart<\/strong>, <strong>Billy Cadigan<\/strong> and <strong>Daniel\u00a0Golczewski<\/strong> from the North Baltimore Aquatic Club took home the gold in this event with a time of 7:31.58. Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics took the silver in 7:33.26.<\/p>\n<p>Sarasota YMCA had both their A and B relays place in the top 8. The team of <strong>Austin Katz<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Danny Erlenmeyer<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Emanuele Rossi<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Hans Schroeder<\/strong> placed third in 7:33.84, while <strong>Drew Clark<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Carter Page<\/strong>, <strong>Jackson Defore<\/strong> and <strong>Matthew Garcia<\/strong> finished eighth with a time of 7:40.01.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everything you need to follow along with finals\u00a0live during the 2015 USA Swimming Summer Junior Nationals.
