Swimming World will provide a unique analysis of the zones each week. Here, you\u2019ll find the zones\u2019 strengths, top athletes, and top times.<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>USA Swimming Eastern Zone<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Girls: Megan Lynch <\/strong>of the Greenwich YWCA Dolphins and <strong>Joy Jiang<\/strong> of Westchester Aquatic Club continue to set incredible new standards for the Eastern Zone\u2019s 11-year old girls. Jiang has improved the top marks in the 400-meter free, 50 and 100-meter back, 100-meter fly, and 400-meter IM. Lynch posted new top times in the 200-meter free, 50, 100, and 200-meter breast, and the 200-meter IM.<\/p>\n<p>For the 12-year old girls, <strong>Ali Tyler<\/strong> (Cheshire Y\/Sea Dog Swim Club) lowered the time in the 50-meter free to a 27.61<strong>, <\/strong>while also setting a new mark in the 50-meter fly. Vanessa Chong of Laguardia Aquatic Club (100-meter fly), <strong>Ella Higgins<\/strong> of the Virginia Gators (50-meter breast), and <strong>Gracie Shebie<\/strong> of NOVA (200-meter IM) also swam zone bests.<\/p>\n<p>The Virginia Gators\u2019 <strong>Olivia Bray<\/strong> hit top times in the 100-meter back and fly for the 13-year old girls. <strong>Kate Douglass<\/strong> of Westchester also swam a top time in the 50-meter free in the age group. Bray\u2019s teammate <strong>Caroline Kulp<\/strong> (1500-meter free) and <strong>Alexa Cuomo<\/strong> of the Mason Makos (100-meter fly) notched zone-bests for the 14-year old girls.<\/p>\n<p>Amongst senior-level swimmers, <strong>Cassidy Bayer<\/strong> of Nation\u2019s Capital popped off a zone-best 200-meter IM for the 15-year old girls, while her teammate <strong>Anna Belousova<\/strong> swam a top time in the same event for the 18-year old girls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boys: Leo Tutovani<\/strong> of the Virginia Gators took over the top spot in the 11-year old boys\u2019 100-meter free. Tutovani also swam a 1:09.94 to achieve the top 100-meter back slot. Also in the age group, <strong>Danny Kim <\/strong>from Long Island Swim Club swam the top 200-meter fly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dare Rose<\/strong> swam a trio of zone bests for the 12-year old boys. The Scarlet Aquatics swimmer topped the list in 100-meter free, 400-meter free, and the 200-meter IM. SOLO Aquatics member <strong>Aaron Zhu<\/strong> pumped out top times in the 100 and 200-meter breast. Meanwhile, Rivertown Aquatics\u2019 <strong>Matthew Fenlon<\/strong> (200-meter back), Somerset Hills YMCA\u2019s <strong>Matthew Fallon<\/strong> (50-meter breast), and NOVA\u2019s <strong>Atesh Camurdan<\/strong> (50-meter free) also swam top times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anthony Minickiello <\/strong>of Greenwood Swimming was the lone change atop the 13-year old boys\u2019 list in the 800-meter free. There were a slew of changes on the 14-year old boys leaderboard. <strong>Ivan Puskovitch<\/strong> swam top times in the 800 and 1500-meter free as well as the fastest 400-meter IM. Regency Park\u2019s <strong>Luke Durocher<\/strong> pumped out top backstroke times in the 100 and 200-meter races. <strong>Matt Magness <\/strong>of Golden Ram Aquatics (400-meter free), <strong>Mason Gonzalez<\/strong> of Allegheny North (100-meter free), <strong>River Wright<\/strong> of Bluefish Swim Club (200-meter fly), and <strong>Matthew Whelan<\/strong> of NOVA (50-meter free) also topped the age group.<\/p>\n<p>In the 15-year old boys age group, <strong>Andrew Abruzzo<\/strong> of Germantown Academy Aquatic Club added two top times in the 400 and 800-meter free. <strong>Eric Tong<\/strong>\u2019s (X-Cel Swimming) 1:05.27 100-meter breast earned him the top spot for the 16-year old boys in the event. Nation\u2019s Capital\u2019s stud swimmer <strong>Andrew Seliskar<\/strong>, 18, added another top time in the 200-meter free at 1:50.29.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>USA Swimming Central Zone<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Girls: Scarlet Martin<\/strong> of Iowa Flyers Swim Club led the way for the 11-year old girls with three new zone bests in the 50, 100, and 200-meter fly. Club Wolverine\u2019s <strong>Annabelle Haberkorn<\/strong> (200-meter free) and <strong>Drue Thielking<\/strong> (50-meter breast) produced new zone bests for the age group along with Martin\u2019s teammate <strong>Heidi Stalkfleet<\/strong> (800-meter free).<\/p>\n<p>NW Dupage YMCA\/B.R. Ryall Swim Team\u2019s <strong>Kate Morris<\/strong> lowered the top times in the 50 and 100-meter free for the 12-year old girls. Plymouth-Canton Cruisers member <strong>Sophia Tuinman<\/strong> clocked top times in the 100 and 200-meter back, while <strong>Ally Silvestri<\/strong> of Ozaukee Aquatics also achieved two top times in the 100 and 200-meter breast. <strong>Isabella Pytel<\/strong> of the Academy Bullets Swim Club (200-meter IM), <strong>Berit Quass <\/strong>of Central Iowa Aquatics (50-meter fly), and <strong>Julia Heimstead<\/strong> of Waves Bloomington (200-meter fly) also topped the list.<\/p>\n<p>In the 13-year old girls age group, <strong>Maxine Parker <\/strong>(Patriot Aquatic Club) cranked out a top 50-meter free in 27.17. <strong>Annika Wagner<\/strong> from Leaning Tower YMCA posted two zone bests in both IMs. Parker and Wagner were joined at the top by <strong>Abby Jahns <\/strong>of Fishers Area Swimming Tigers (1500-meter free) and <strong>Elizabeth Broshears<\/strong> of the Newburgh Sea Creatures (200-meter fly).<\/p>\n<p>There were a number of changes atop the 14-year old girls\u2019 list as well. Carmel Swim Club\u2019s <strong>Kelly Pash<\/strong> posted two zone bests in the 100-meter fly and 200-meter IM. <strong>Sydney Vanovermeiren<\/strong> of Academy Bullets also produced two top times in the 200-meter breast and 400-meter IM. <strong>Anya Goeders<\/strong> of Mako Swim Team (100-meter free), <strong>Georgia Mosher<\/strong> of Club Wolverine (1500-meter free), <strong>Emily Weiss<\/strong> of Cardinal Community Swim Club (100-meter breast), and <strong>Carla Gildersleeve<\/strong> of Franklin Regional Swim Team also popped off top times. There were no changes at the top for the 15-and-over swimmers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boys: <\/strong>Champaign County YMCA\u2019s <strong>Andrew Lin<\/strong> cranked out four top times for the 11-year old boys in the 50-meter fly and 50, 100, 200-meter back. In the 12-year old boys age group, <strong>Andrew Dai<\/strong> of Wheaton Swim Club churned out zone bests in the 200-meter fly and 100-meter breast. Southwest Aquatic Team\u2019s <strong>Emilio Perez<\/strong> lowered the 100-meter free mark to 57.64. <strong>Parker Nolan <\/strong>of Chicago Wolfpack (50-meter free), <strong>Aaron Dies<\/strong> of PRO Swimming (50-meter back), and Dai\u2019s teammate <strong>Justin Li<\/strong> (200-meter back) all added top times to the list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carson Foster<\/strong>, 13, of the Cincinnati Marlins gutted out a new zone best in the 400-meter IM in an impressive 4:40.01. Carmel\u2019s <strong>Wyatt Davis<\/strong> (100 and 200-meter back) and Munster\u2019s <strong>Kyle Adams<\/strong> (100 and 200-meter breast) both added two top times. Carson\u2019s older brother, <strong>Jake Foster<\/strong> notched two top times in the 14-year old boys\u2019 400-meter free and IM at Columbus Sectionals.<\/p>\n<p>Foster\u2019s teammate <strong>Justin Grender<\/strong> posted a new top time in the 15-year old boys\u2019 200-meter back. His 16-year old teammate <strong>Christian Imbus<\/strong> swam the fastest 1500-meter free. Also for the 16-year old boys, <strong>Michael Andrew <\/strong>(Indie Swimming) set two new marks in the 100-meter free and 200-meter fly, while <strong>Spencer Carl<\/strong> (West Ottawa Swim Club) topped the 200-meter fly. 17-year old boys <strong>Cameron Craig<\/strong> of Southern Michigan (200-meter free and 100-meter back), <strong>Mason Miller<\/strong> of Ohio State Swim Club (100-meter fly) and <strong>Nathan Jones<\/strong> of the Cincinnati Marlins (400-meter IM) rounded out the rest of the new top times in the Central Zone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>USA Swimming Southern Zone<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Girls: Margaret Mabry<\/strong>, 11, of Lakeside Aquatic Club busted out four zone bests in the 400-meter free and the 50, 100, and 200-meter back. Elite Swim Program\u2019s <strong>Lindsey Hosch<\/strong> topped the list in the 100 and 200-meter breast, while City of Richardson Swim Team\u2019s <strong>Sophia Todd<\/strong> etched her name at the top of the 100 and 200-meter fly races.<\/p>\n<p>For the 12-year old girls, <strong>Karen Yin<\/strong> of Nitro Swimming hit top times in the 100 and 200-meter back. The Woodlands Swim Team teammates <strong>Lillie Nordmann<\/strong> (400-meter free and 200-meter fly) and <strong>Malia Rausch<\/strong> (200-meter IM) swam top times for the age group. New Wave\u2019s <strong>Amanda Ray<\/strong> (1500-meter free) and First Colony\u2019s <strong>Jacey Hinton<\/strong> also topped the 12-year old girls age group.<\/p>\n<p>There were no changes atop the 13 and 14-year old girls\u2019 lists. <strong>Madison Homovich<\/strong> of the North Carolina Aquatic Club clocked zone bests in the 400-meter free and 200-meter back for the 15-year old girls. <strong>Julia Poole <\/strong>of Triangle Aquatics notched a top time in the 16-year old girls\u2019 100-meter breast with her 1:10.59.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Boys: <\/strong>In the 11-year old boys age group, <strong>Josh Zuchowski<\/strong> (East Coast Aquatic Club) nabbed the top spot in the 100-meter back, while <strong>Connor Scott<\/strong> (The Woodlands) swam zone bests in the 50 and 100-meter breast. <strong>David Oderinde<\/strong> of the Premier Aquatics Club of Klein topped the 12-year old boys in the 50 and 100-meter free. <strong>Matthew Tannenberger<\/strong> (Swim Streamline at Northampton) also claimed two top times in the age group in the 200 and 400-meter free. <strong>Jake Thakur<\/strong> chipped in a zone best in the 200-meter fly with his 2:22.26.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kevin Repice<\/strong> of the North Texas Nadadores crushed four new top times for the 13-year old boys in the 100, 200 and 400-meter free as well as the 200-meter IM. <strong>Jack Grieshop<\/strong> (Nitro) nailed three new zone bests in the 100 and 200-meter back and the 200-meter fly. <strong>Rafael Rodriguez<\/strong> (South Florida Aquatic Club) busted out a zone best in the 400-meter IM in 4:51.73.<\/p>\n<p>Premier Aquatics Club\u2019s <strong>Jacob Powell<\/strong> posted a 24.60 to lead the 14-year old boys. <strong>Jace Brown<\/strong> of Rockwall Aquatic Center of Excellence also had a top 100-meter fly time for the age group. In the 16-year old boys age group, <strong>Zachary Poti<\/strong> from the Blue Dolfins swam a top time in the 200-meter fly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>USA Swimming Western Zone<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Girls: <\/strong>There were only a few new top times in the Western Zone, and all of which stemmed from the 11 and 12-year old girls. Amongst the 11-year olds, Yosemite Marlins swimmer <strong>Claire Tuggle<\/strong> led the way with top times in the 100 and 400-meter free. Pikes Peak Athletics swimmer <strong>Mia Tandingan<\/strong> set the new mark in the 50-meter free, while <strong>Iz Meraz<\/strong>\u2019s 33.23 50-meter back is the now the fastest time in the Western Zone. <strong>Hannah Joseph<\/strong> sprinted her way to the top of the 12-year old girls\u2019 50-meter free with a 27.89.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boys: <\/strong>Flatiron Athletic Club teammates <strong>Camilo Vargas<\/strong> (200-meter breast) and <strong>Jackson McDonald<\/strong> (400-meter IM) put up top times for the 11-year old boys. Redding Swim Team pheonom <strong>Winn Aung<\/strong> lowered three more marks amongst 12-year old boys in the 100-meter free and the 50 and 100-meter fly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ethan Dang<\/strong> of King Aquatic Club lowered his 100 and 200-meter breast times to lead the 13-year old boys. <strong>Harrison Lierz<\/strong> of the Front Range Barracudas posted a top time in the 200-meter back. The lone change atop the 14-year old boys age group came from Multnomah Athletic Club\u2019s <strong>Van Mathias<\/strong> in the 100-meter fly.<\/p>\n<p>Jeffco Hurricanes swimmer <strong>Michael Zarian<\/strong> topped the 16-year old boys\u2019 list in the 400-meter IM with a 4:30.04. 17-year olds <strong>Ryan Hoffer <\/strong>of Scottsdale Aquatic Club (50-meter free) and Zarian\u2019s teammate <strong>Keegan Foulke <\/strong>(400-meter IM) added their names to the top of the list.
