After two days of flirting with national records, the 2015 Portuguese Nationals finally saw one of the marks go down. Oddly enough, it came from a second-place finish on day three.<\/p>\n
Julie Aglund Lauridsen<\/strong> won the women\u2019s 400-meter free in 4:15.59. Second-place finisher Diana Margarida Duraes<\/strong> broke her own national record time of 4:19.40 with a 4:19.09 effort. Tamila Hryhorivna Holub<\/strong> clocked a 4:22.91 to place third.<\/p>\n Svenja Stoffel<\/strong> took the women\u2019s 100-meter fly in 59.65, narrowly defeating Emilie Beckmann<\/strong>\u2019s 59.83. Christina Munkholm<\/strong> couldn\u2019t break the one-minute mark and finished third in 1:00.55.<\/p>\n Sam Horrocks<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 100-meter fly in 53.89. Miguel Duarte Nascimento<\/strong> finished a nearby second in 54.24, while Nuno Goncalo Quintanilha<\/strong> made the podium with a 55.00.<\/p>\n Victoria Kaminskaya<\/strong> ended up victorious in the women\u2019s 200-meter breast with a 2:30.43. She began to extend her lead over Ana Pinho Rodrigues<\/strong> after the 100-meter mark, and Rodrigues fell to a 2:32.45 finish. Barbara Sofia Barata<\/strong> was a distant third in 2:39.81.<\/p>\n Christopher Steeples<\/strong> added another win to his weekend with a 2:16.46 200-meter breast. Jolann Bovey<\/strong> was right behind Steeples with a 2:17.10. Diogo Filipe Carvalho<\/strong> wound up third with a 2:17.85.<\/p>\n Rebecca Guy<\/strong> zipped to a 25.86 first-place finish in the women\u2019s 50-meter free. She won in convincing fashion over Svenja Stoffel<\/strong>, who clocked a 26.46. Ana Pinho Rodrigues<\/strong> notched a 26.47 for third.<\/p>\n Alexandre Scrudier Agostinho<\/strong> was nowhere near his national record time of 22.36, but he held on to win the men\u2019s 50-meter free with a 23.10. Frederik Siem Pedersen<\/strong> touched second at 23.19, and Gustavo Almeida Madureira <\/strong>hit third with a 23.36.<\/p>\n British swimmer Jessica Fullalove<\/strong> has had a strong showing at the meet. She continued her hot streak with a 1:00.42 win in the women\u2019s 100-meter back. Sarah Bro<\/strong> took second in 1:02.46, while Ana Sofia Leite<\/strong> rounded out the top three with a 1:03.60.<\/p>\n Denmark\u2019s Magnus Jakupsson<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 100-meter back in 55.80, ahead of Nathan Keith Theodoris<\/strong> who touched to a 56.30. Sam Horrocks clinched third in 56.97.<\/p>\n Danish swimmer Anton Oerskov Ipsen<\/strong> crushed the men\u2019s 400-meter free in 3:50.23. His closest competition, Gonzalo Carazo Barbero<\/strong>, finished second in 4:00.54. Mario Alexandre Pereira <\/strong>posted a 4:00.64 to earn bronze.<\/p>\n
