Hood Sectionals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The third day of the 2015 Speedo Western Section Championship in Gresham, Oregon was highlighted by <strong>Sandra Freeman&#8217;s<\/strong> dominating win in the women&#8217;s 400 IM.<\/p>\n<p>Freeman, who posted a time of 4:53.95, snagged her Olympic Trials qualifying time, grabbing the win by over four seconds.\u00a0<strong>Madeline Myers<\/strong> was second to the wall, coming in at 4:58.27. The bronze went to <strong>Kelly Huffer<\/strong> who hit the wall at 4:59.92.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the meet, <strong>Eryn Eddy<\/strong> swam to first in the women&#8217;s 200 freestyle with a time of 2:03.30. She was followed by <strong>Brittany Aoyama<\/strong> who hit the wall in second place in 2:04.08. <strong>Emma Chard<\/strong> followed with a time of 2:04.31.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s\u00a0200 freestyle was a close race between\u00a0<strong>Ryan McCoy <\/strong>and<strong> Dylan Bunch. <\/strong>The event was\u00a0ultimately won by McCoy<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>who posted\u00a0a time of 1:52.14. Bunch followed with a swift 1:52.84, while <strong>Kacy Johnson<\/strong> was third to the wall with a time of 1:53.97.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s final of the 400 IM, Dylan Bunch won the event in a final time of 4:28.88. He was followed by Daniel Carr who came into the wall in 4:30.99. Lane Bretschneider grabbed third with a time of 4:34.10.<\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 200 freestyle relay was dominated yet again by the Scottsdale Aquatic Club. The team of <strong>Gabriella Fagan<\/strong> (27.52) <strong>Victoria Toris<\/strong> (26.54) <strong>Samantha Fazio<\/strong> (26.67) and <strong>Taylor Ruck<\/strong> (25.49) put together a 1:46.22 for the win. They were followed by The Dolphin&#8217;s team of <strong>Alayna Connor<\/strong> (26.51) <strong>Lindsay Swail<\/strong> (26.69) <strong>Jordan Ashmore<\/strong> (27.24) and <strong>Sierra Sexton<\/strong> (25.82) came together for second in a final time of 1:46.26. Third place was grabbed by the University of Denver Hilltoppers team of <strong>Zoe Huddleston<\/strong> (26.74) <strong>Amanda Sanders<\/strong> (26.66) <strong>Heidi Bradley<\/strong> (26.96) and <strong>Morgan Wice-Roslin<\/strong> (26.41) who earned the bronze with an effort of 1:46.77.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 200 freestyle relay, the Phoenix Swim Club grabbed the win with\u00a0the group of <strong>Luke Williams<\/strong> (23.79) <strong>Angus Hannan<\/strong> (23.60) <strong>Ryan McCoy<\/strong> (23.85) and <strong>Grady Ottomeyer<\/strong> (23.39) teaming up for a winning time of 1:34.63. The University of Denver Hilltoppers team of <strong>Dylan Bunch<\/strong> (25.00) <strong>Timothy Cottam<\/strong> (23.32) <strong>Lane Bretschneider<\/strong> (24.27) and <strong>Kyle Robrock<\/strong> (22.59) combined for second place and a time of 1:35.18. Tualatin Hills Swim Club&#8217;s group of <strong>Liam Metzsch<\/strong> (23.71) <strong>Gabriel Rooker<\/strong> (23.82) <strong>Trenton Martinez<\/strong> (24.44) and <strong>Evan Carlson<\/strong> (23.86) won the bronze in a time of 1:35.83.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/results\/2015-mt-hood-speedo-sectionals-day-three-day-3\/usa-senior-national\/2015\/July\/14\" target=\"_blank\">2015 Mt.
