The meet where success is determined, goals are hopefully reached, and one team gets the honor of taking the victory plunge in full warmups!

Competing at the NCAA Championship meet in March is many college swimmers’ annual goal. It begins as a goal of competing, then scoring, and finally winning.

Each year, times drop, swimmers step up for their team, and superstars are born. Those superstars are rivaled each year to maintain the top spot, or two swimmers compete to take over the newly incumbent champion seat.

Although next year eight highly talented swimmers will suit up for each individual event final; I have singled out two swimmers to faceoff. I think these two swimmers in each event will push each other for the coveted 2016 gold trophy.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-39686" data-attachment-id="39686" data-permalink="https://www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/news/trophies-09-ncaa-sd-1145/" data-orig-file="https://vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Trophies-09-NCAA-SD-1145.jpg" data-orig-size="3617,2406" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{"aperture":"5","credit":"","camera":"NIKON D3","caption":"","created_timestamp":"1206652775","copyright":"Peter H.
