The schedule features five home meets during the upcoming season, including a dual meet in Green River, Wyo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very excited to have an outreach meet in Green River this year against a team that finished ranked in the top-25 last season,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cWe are definitely looking forward to the challenge that the University of Utah will bring.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wyoming will open the season with the annual Brown and Gold exhibition dual meet on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644621\">October 2nd<\/span>. The lone exhibition for UW will be the opening event for the Cowboys and Cowgirls for the ninth consecutive season. On\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1637644622\">Oct. 10th<\/span>, Wyoming will travel to the DU Relays for the sixth straight season and then the Cowboys will welcome Denver for the first home dual on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644623\">October 16th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe DU Relays is always a fun and challenging meet as it gives the freshmen experience at a real collegiate meet. Along with the Brown and Gold, the DU Relays will help us shake out our lineup and see what we are going to do the rest of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Cowgirls will travel to Las Cruces, N.M., on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644624\">Oct. 23rd<\/span> to compete against New Mexico State and Albuquerque, N.M., on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644625\">Oct. 24th<\/span> to take on Mountain West foe New Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>Wyoming will challenge Louisiana State and Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Ariz., on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644626\">Oct. 30-31<\/span> and then on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644627\">Nov. 6th<\/span> the Cowgirls will host Border War rival Colorado State for their first home dual of the season. On <span data-term=\"goog_1637644628\">Nov. 12th<\/span>, the Cowboys swim team will welcome Air Force as the divers travel to compete in Colorado Springs and on the following day, the Cowgirls will host NAU and Air Force.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time since 2003, Wyoming will travel to West Lafayette, Ind., to compete in the three-day Purdue Invitational beginning <span data-term=\"goog_1637644629\">Nov. 19th<\/span> and then the AT&amp;T Winter Nationals in Federal Way, Wash., <span data-term=\"goog_1637644630\">Dec. 2-5<\/span>. The final home dual will be in Green River, Wyo., on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644631\">Dec. 5th<\/span> facing off against Utah. The Cowboys and Cowgirls will take on regional rival Denver on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644632\">Jan. 9, 2016<\/span> and then compete against Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz., on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644633\">Jan. 16, 2016<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>UW will travel to Las Vegas, Nev., on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644634\">Jan. 30, 2016<\/span> to challenge UNLV and Nevada and then to close up the regular season, the divers will take part in the Air Force Diving Invite on <span data-term=\"goog_1637644635\">Feb. 5, 2016<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a mixture of meets that will be big challenges for us,\u201d Johnson added. \u201cI think that is very good.
