ROCKVILLE Montgomery finished the fourth day of competition in first in the combined team title race at the NCSA Junior National Championships held in Orlando, Fla.  The squad owns 451 points against Tucson Ford&#39;s 414.<\/p>\n<p>Tucson Ford leads the women&#39;s race over Rockville Montgomery, 249-245, with Raleigh Swimming sitting in a close third with 244 points, while Curl Burke is in front of the men&#39;s race with 262 points.  Nova of Virginia is its closest competitor with 209 points.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 100 backstroke<\/b><br \/>\n15-year-old Jessica Guro of Atlantis Aquatics won the 100 back in 54.72, while 17-year-olds Maggie Meyer of The Great Wolf Swimming (55.21) and Katie Eschenburg of Lake Country Swimming (55.88) rounded out the top three in second and third-place, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 100 backstroke<\/b><br \/>\nJosh Hafkin of Rockville Montgomery won a close one with a 48.11 to down Cory Chitwood of the Northern KY Clippers, who finished in 48.26.  Tampa Bay Aquatics Tommy Wyher took third in 49.58.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 500 freestyle<\/b><br \/>\n14-year-old Emily Kelly of Long Island Aquatics touched first in 4:46.41 to edge Chelsea Nauta of Tampa Bay Aquatics, who clocked a second-place 4:46.73.  16-year-old Claire Dickmann of the Northern KY Clippers finished third in 4:47.97.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 500 freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nCurl Burke&#39;s Matt McLean won the middle distance event in 4:26.94, while Shane Lichtenberg of the Oakland Live Y&#39;ers placed second in 4:27.89.  Tri-City Channel&#39;s Carl Jones rounded out the top three in 4:28.97.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 100 breaststroke<\/b><br \/>\n17-year-old Melanie Roberts of Raleigh Swimming set the 100 breast meet-record with a time of 1:01.30.  Meanwhile, Parkway Swimming&#39;s Elizabeth Smith placed second in 1:01.73.  16-year-old Haley Spencer of Rockwood Swimming took third in 1:01.76, as all three swimmers surpassed the previous meet record of 1:01.78.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 100 breaststroke<\/b><br \/>\n16-year-old Stuart Ferguson of Poseidon Swimming hit the wall first in 55.37, while Adam Klein of Crescent City Swimming placed second in 56.60.  17-year-old Nevin Cook of Qdd Swim closed out the top three in 56.91.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 100 butterfly<\/b><br \/>\n17-year-old Dana Christ of the Oakland Live Y&#39;ers led a pair of swimmers breaking the meet record with a time of 53.86.  That effort erased the 54.01 set by Laura Davis of the Terrapins in 2002.  15-year-old Kati Nolan of Hershey Aquatics also surpassed the standard with a second-place 53.93.  Team Foxjet&#39;s Megan Braun picked up third in 54.89.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 100 butterfly<\/b><br \/>\nTampa Bay Aquatics&#39; Tommy Wyher touched first in the 100 fly in 48.21, to edge Sam Wilcher&#39;s second-place time of 48.40.
