Invite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A scratch from\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian<\/strong> in the men&#8217;s 50-meter free left the event wide open for Trojan Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vlad Morozov\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Nikita Lobintsev<\/strong>\u00a0in finals of day three at the Los Angeles Invite. Morozov claimed the win with a 22.14, dropping .54 seconds from his prelims time of 22.68, but 1.03 seconds off his 2015 world best of 21.65. Lobintsev took second with a 22.47, while De Anza Cupertino Aquatic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shayne Fleming<\/strong> finished third with a 22.91.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jordan Wilmovsky<\/strong> dominated the competition in the men&#8217;s 1500-meter free posting a final time of 15:06.96 for first. Wilmovsky dropped 28.02 seconds from his prelims time of 15:34.98.\u00a0<strong>Ty Fowler<\/strong> of Tucson Ford Aquatics finished second with a 15:37.06, while\u00a0<strong>Michael Brinegar<\/strong> was third with a 15:40.87.<\/p>\n<p>SoCal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ella Eastin<\/strong> rose to the top of the women&#8217;s 200-meter IM with a 2:14.24, dropping 3.61 seconds from her prelims time of 2:17.85.\u00a0<strong>Sonia Wang\u00a0<\/strong>of Aquazot Swim Club grabbed second with a 2:14.90, while Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kelly Naze<\/strong> finished third with a 2:16.59.<\/p>\n<p>Trojan Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nikita Lobintsev<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Alexander Sukhorukov\u00a0<\/strong>kept a tight race in the men&#8217;s 200-meter free, finishing .40 seconds apart. Lobintsev got to the wall first, finishing with a 1:49.07, a 2.69 second drop from his prelims time of 1:51.76. Sukhorukov claimed second with a final time of 1:49.47, dropping 4.25 seconds from his prelims time of 1:53.72. Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong> rounded out the top three with a 1:49.96.<\/p>\n<p>Tucson Ford Aquatic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Schoettmer<\/strong> dashed to a quick finish in the women&#8217;s 200-meter breaststroke posting a 2:28.23 to finish 3.92 seconds ahead of the competition. Stanford&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarah Haase<\/strong> and Team Bruin&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Schanz<\/strong> kept a tight race for second with Haase getting her fingers on the wall .01 seconds ahead of Schanz to claim second with a 2:32.15. Schanz settled for third and a 2:32.16.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kosuke Kitajima,\u00a0<\/strong>swimming for Coca-Cola, grabbed first in the men&#8217;s 200-meter breaststroke with a 2:11.05 finish. Trojan Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Steven Stumph<\/strong> slipped to second with a 2:12.99, while\u00a0<strong>Sam Tierney<\/strong>, swimming unattached, was third with a 2:14.72.<\/p>\n<p>Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Farida Osman<\/strong> bested the competition in the women&#8217;s 50-meter free with a final time of 25.12. Tucson Ford Aquatic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Margo Geer<\/strong> settled for second with a 25.34, while Trojan Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Melissa Gates<\/strong> finished third with a 25.77.
