It will not count as a Masters world record because the meet was not a sanctioned Masters meet. FINA rules dictate that Masters world records can only be set in sanctioned Masters meets.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ll be forced to return in 2016,&#8221; Granger said in a Facebook post. On Friday, he was sixth in the 200 free with a 1:59.48 after a 1:59.11 in the heats.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Granger&#8217;s 200 IM splits:<\/strong><br \/>\nButterfly: 28.08<br \/>\nBackstroke: 33.98<br \/>\nBreaststroke: 37.88<br \/>\nFreestyle: 31.20<\/p>\n<p>Granger earned his 2015 World Masters Swimmer of the Year accolade largely from his two long course world records in the 200 free (1:57.55) and 400 IM (4:43.83) at last year&#8217;s Masters world championships.
