Dressel won both the butterfly and freestyle 50-meter races. The sophomore who swims\u00a0for University of Florida, won the 50 yard freestyle at the NCAA meet this past march. And tonight he showed his 50 speed once again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caeleb Dressel <\/strong>won the 50-meter butterfly in a time of 23.86 finishing ahead of<strong> <strong>David Knight <\/strong><\/strong>who went 24.19 and got second, and<strong> <strong>Pavel Sankovich <\/strong><\/strong>who took third going 24.33.<\/p>\n<p>Winning another 50-meter event tonight, <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 50-meter freestyle crown. Only .2 off a best time Dressel went\u00a022.41; he won the event beating <strong>Corey Main<\/strong> representing Gator swim, who went 22.77, and <strong>Jason McComick<\/strong> of Club Seminole who finished third in a time of 23.04.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ashlee Linn <\/strong>won the 100-meter Backstroke in a time of 1:01.25, which is more than two seconds faster than the 2016 Olympic Trial Qualifying. <strong>Matea Samardzic <\/strong>and <strong>Megan Moroney <\/strong>also swam faster than the 1:03.39 trials cut tonight finishing second\u00a0(1:02.19) and third\u00a0(1:03.16) respectively. All three ladies swam lifetime bests at finals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elizabeth Beisel<\/strong> dropped almost six seconds at finals to overtake <strong>Ashlee Linn<\/strong> for the top spot in the women\u2019s 200-meter individual medley. Beisel\u00a0swam a 2:14.37 and Linn\u00a0swam a 2:14.75. Both ladies kept it close the whole way pushing each other from fly to free. <strong>Justine Bowker<\/strong> came in third in a time of 2:15.05 scoring points for T2 Aquatics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beisel and Linn&#8217;s 200 IM Splits<\/strong><\/p>\n[table \u201c\u201d not found \/]<br \/>\n\n<p>It was all <strong>Sebastien Rousseau<\/strong> on the men\u2019s side of 200 IM in a time of 2:01.89. He beat <strong>Grant Sanders<\/strong> of Clearwater Aquatics Club who finished in a time of 2:04.33 and teammate <strong>Dan Wallace<\/strong> who swam a 2:04.81, good enough to get third. Not to mention two other Gator Swim Club swimmers managed to get into the championship final (<strong>Nicholas D\u2019Inncenzo<\/strong> and <strong>Mark Szaranek<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Corey Main <\/strong>of Gator Swim Club ran away with the 100-meter Backstroke title. Corey swam a 54.52, taking his first 50 out in a blistering pace of 26.4 . Main made the 2016 Olympic trial mark of 57.19 look easy. <strong>Pavel Sankovich <\/strong>finished second in a time of 55.90, while <strong>Austin Katz <\/strong>finished third in a time of 57.18.<\/p>\n<p>Another Gator Swim Club swimmer, <strong>Hrafnhidur Luthersdottir <\/strong>won the women\u2019s 50-meter breaststroke in a time of 32.30 a little more than the top seeded prelim time of 32.63. 16-year-old <strong>Danielle Kaymont <\/strong>finished second in a time of 32.92 and coming in at third was <strong>Rachel Stoddard <\/strong>representing Scarlet Aquatics going 33.32.<\/p>\n<p>Club Seminole swept the top of the podium in the men\u2019s 50 breast. <strong>Jason Coombs <\/strong>and <strong>Jared Pike <\/strong>went stroke for stroke in the event. Coombs\u00a0eventually touched out by .01. Coombs\u00a0swam a time of 28.74 and teammate Pike swimming a 28.75. Rounding out the top three, <strong>Rafael Van Leeuwaarde <\/strong>swam a time of 29.07 scoring big for Club Seminole.<\/p>\n<p>In the 50-meter butterfly <strong>Natalie Hinds <\/strong>dropped over a second to go from a 27.97 to a 26.85. That drop turned her 3-place prelim swim to a speedo championship gold medal finish. <strong>Claire Maiocco <\/strong>finished in second in a time of 27.47, and in third place was <strong>Catalina Mendieta<\/strong> in a time of 27.70.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katie Kicklighter<\/strong> took home the 50-meter freestyle crown in a time of 26.09, and <strong>Kasey Schmidt <\/strong>and <strong>Natalie Hinds <\/strong>shared second place both swimming a time of 26.21. Kicklighter\u00a0also achieved her Olympic Trial cut for trials in Omaha next summer.<\/p>\n<p>Gator Swim Club\u2019s <strong>Jessica Thielmann <\/strong>pace of\u00a01:03 high\u2019s helped her to capture a victory in the women\u2019s 400-meter freestyle, and finish with a time of 4:13.69. 800-meter champion, <strong>Ariel Finke <\/strong>got second place in a time of 4:14.68 and <strong>Kendall Dawson <\/strong>finished third in a time of 4:20.24.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the individual events for day three, <strong>Santiago Corredor <\/strong>won the 400-meter freestyle in a time of 3:58.17. <strong>Robert Finke <\/strong>finished second in a time of 3:59.75 and not far behind <strong>Eric Stobbe <\/strong>went 4:00.07 to take home bronze.<\/p>\n<p>With tonight in the books tomorrow night will the last session.
