Despite a quick last 50-meters from Lochte, Phillips was able to hold him off and claim the first-place seed for tonight&#8217;s finals with a 53.04. Lochte turned in a 53.07 for second, while\u00a0<strong>Dylan Bosch<\/strong> rounds out the top three with a 53.57.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Phillips &amp; Lochte 100-Meter Fly Splits<\/strong><\/p>\n[table \u201c\u201d not found \/]<br \/>\n\n<p><strong>Leah<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Stevens<\/strong>\u00a0cruised to a first-place seed in the women&#8217;s 400-meter free with a 4:16.14.\u00a0<strong>Kathleen Baker<\/strong> took second with a 4:18.16, while\u00a0<strong>Stephanie Peters<\/strong> finished third with a 4:20.03.<\/p>\n<p>Club Wolverine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Connor Jaeger\u00a0<\/strong>claimed first in prelims of the men&#8217;s 400-meter free with a time of 3:52.01.\u00a0<strong>Kevin Litherland<\/strong>\u00a0of Dynamo Swim Club was second with a 3:53.11, while teammate\u00a0<strong>Matias Koski<\/strong> placed third with a 3:55.78.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hellen Moffitt\u00a0<\/strong>bested the competition in prelims of the women&#8217;s 100-meter fly with a time of 59.35. Swim MAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cammile Adams\u00a0<\/strong>was a close second with a time of 59.85, and\u00a0<strong>Maddie Rusch\u00a0<\/strong>rounded out the top three wit ha 1:00.09.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Micah Lawrence<\/strong> claimed the first-place seed in the women&#8217;s 100-meter breaststroke with a finishing time of 1:08.37.\u00a0<strong>Melanie\u00a0Margalis\u00a0<\/strong>finished second with a 1:08.83, while\u00a0<strong>Kayla Brumbaum\u00a0<\/strong>was third with a 1:10.59.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nicolas Fink<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Zach Hayden<\/strong> kept a tight race in the men&#8217;s 100-meter breaststroke finishing only .11 seconds apart.
