ORLANDO, Florida, March 21. RECORDS continued to call during the second day of competition at the NCSA Junior National Championships held in Orlando, Fla., from March 20-24.<\/p>\n

Women's 100 freestyle<\/b>
\nKatherine Raatz of Golden West Swimming broke the meet record with a time of 49.41 for the win. The effort surpassed the 49.69 previously set by Cait Connealy of Arizona Desert Fox in 2002.<\/p>\n
Emma Darlington of Tucson Ford finished second in 50.17, while Chelsea Nauta of Tampa Bay Aquatics took third in 50.68.<\/p>\n
Men's 100 freestyle<\/b>
\nBuddy Turner of Arizona Desert Fox touched first in 44.69, while Tommy Wyher of Tampa Bay Aquatics took second in 45.51. Curt Carlson of Team Foxjet closed out the top three in 45.56.<\/p>\n
Women's 200 breaststroke<\/b>
\nElizabeth Smith of Parkway Swim Club chopped two seconds off her meet record with a time of 2:10.68. She previously held the standard with a 2:12.90 in 2004.<\/p>\n
Raleigh Swimming picked up second and third with Sarah Henry (2:13.22) and Melanie Roberts (2:13.26) placing right after each other.<\/p>\n
Men's 200 breaststroke<\/b>
\nCrescent City's Adam Klein hit the wall in 2:00.86 for the win, while Poseidon's Tyler Harris (2:01.87) and Nova of Virginia's Ian Vogt (2:02.20) took second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n
Women's 200 backstroke<\/b>
\n15-year-old Jessica Guro of Atlantis Aquatic won in 1:58.38, while Team Suffolk's Lauren Parisi, 17, placed second in 1:58.47. 15-year-old Cara Chuang of Rockville Montgomery picked up third in 2:01.22.<\/p>\n
Men's 200 backstroke<\/b>
\nCory Chitwood of Northern KY Clippers crushed a 10-year-old meet record with a winning time of 1:44.18. Jamie Rauch of The Fleet originally owned the standard of 1:45.90 since 1997.<\/p>\n
Rockville Montgomery placed second and third with Josh Hafkin (1:46.36) and Brady Fox (1:47.45) finishing in succession.<\/p>\n
Women's 200 butterfly<\/b>
\nAbbie Fish of Lakeside Swim took down the meet record with a time of 1:57.72. Laura Davis and Elizabeth Shaw previously shared the 1:58.25 standard since 2002.<\/p>\n
Northern KY Clipper Claire Dickmann placed second in 1:58.27, while Shaw took third in 1:58.82.<\/p>\n
Men's 200 butterfly<\/b>
\nSam Wilcher, competing unattached, won a competitive heat in 1:46.35. Detroit Yacht Club's Tony Wahl touched right behind in 1:46.75, while Nova of Virginia's Ian Vogt placed third in 1:47.35.<\/p>\n
Women's 200 freestyle relay<\/b>
\nLake Country Swim's team of Nicole Landisch (23.17), Stephanie Fischer (23.74), Allison Nahin (23.97) and Katie Eschenburg (23.22) won in 1:34.10.<\/p>\n
Men's 200 freestyle relay<\/b>
\nTucson Ford Dealer's foursome of Kurt Denninghoff (20.98), Adrian Kirkpatrick (20.99), Nick Hadinger (21.42) and Ben Aaberg (20.51) took the title in 1:23.90.<\/p>\n
