52.05 was the fastest women's time. It was set by Sarabeth Schweitzer who continued her assault on the record books by breaking the 1991 record of Sudi Miller (52.08) in the 19-24 age group.<\/p>\n
31 year old Peggy Gross made her Olympic Trials cut in the 50, with a split time of 23.40, then cruised the second 50 to finish last in the heat.<\/p>\n
In the 45-49 age group Laura Val was pushed by Penny Noyes to break her own record in the 100 with a 54.21. Noyes led at the 50 but Val used superior turns and stronger legs over the last 35 yards to take the event and shave a bit off her record of 54.26. <\/p>\n

45.30 Kenneth Heis set the fastest 100 time of the day by winning the 19-24 age group in 45.30. Timothy Boyd, of Ancient Mariners was the next fastest winning the 25-29 in 45.73.<\/p>\n
Patrick Hayes of Utah broke Dave Boatwright's 1997 record of 46.14 in the 35-39 age group with a 46.04.<\/p>\n
Rich Abrahams 55, demolished Tim Garton's record of 50.57 by over 2 seconds with a 48.37.<\/p>\n
