Swimming World will provide a unique analysis of the zones each week. Here, you\u2019ll find the zones\u2019 strengths, top athletes, and top times.<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>With LSC Championships luring, opportunities for new top times in the USA Swimming zones were few and far between. Nonetheless, there were a handful of swimmers who managed to add their name to the top of their zone\u2019s list.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the small number of changes, we\u2019re changing our zone coverage format for the week and will recognize the individuals who topped their respective zones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boys:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dare Rose<\/strong> added a top time in the Eastern Zone in the 12-year old boys\u2019 50-meter free in 26.45. The Scarlet Aquatics swimmer now holds the fastest times in the 50, 100, and 200-meter free. Also in the Eastern Zone, <strong>Patrick Lacore<\/strong>, 14, now leads in the 200-meter IM with a 2:15.67.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noah Woods<\/strong> swam the top 100-meter back for the 14-year old boys in the Central Zone with a 59.33.<\/p>\n<p>In the Southern Zone, <strong>Liam Custer<\/strong> has taken the top spot in the 11-year old boys\u2019 1500-meter free after gutting out a 19:33.64 last weekend. <strong>Braeden Knight<\/strong> hit the top time for the 12-year old boys\u2019 50-meter free with his 26.77. <strong>Mikael Getahoun <\/strong>swam the fastest 200-meter fly for the 13-year old boys in a solid 2:16.88, besting the previous mark by nearly two seconds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evan Vanbrocklin <\/strong>swam a 2:34.01 200-meter fly to etch his name at the top of the list for the Western Zone\u2019s 11-year old boys.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Girls:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the Eastern Zone, <strong>Briana Gellineau<\/strong> swam a 2:09.28 200-meter free to top the list for the 12-year old girls. <strong>Margaret Aroesty<\/strong>, 16, also hit zone-best times for the zone in the 100-meter breast (1:12.03) and 200-meter breast (2:35.96).<\/p>\n<p>In the Central Zone, Ohio State Swim Club\u2019s <strong>Kate Saczawa<\/strong> busted out a zone-best 27.69 50-meter free for the 13-year old girls. <strong>Marcie McNichols<\/strong> also swam a top time in the 18-year old girls 50-meter free with a 26.38.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sara Stotler<\/strong>, who already holds a number of zone bests in the Southern Zone for the 11-year old girls, added the 200-meter free to her repertoire with her 2:15.91. <strong>Gretchen Walsh<\/strong> busted out three zone bests for the 12-year old girls in the 50-meter free (27.64), 100-meter free (59.30), and 200-meter IM (2:27.94).
