ARIZONA&#39;s team of Nick Nelo (1:34.10), Jean Basson (1:33.72), Darian Townsend (1:32.54) and Adam Ritter (1:33.78) destroyed the NCAA and U.S. Open record of 6:16.25 previously set by Florida in 2005 with an astounding time of 6:14.14.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Florida&#39;s team of Grant Johnson (1:34.20), Lucas Salatta (1:35.02), Shaune Fraser (1:34.19) and Roland Rudolf (1:34.41) placed second well behind in 6:17.82.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Stanford&#39;s foursome of Andy Grant (1:34.34), Danny Beal (1:34.80), Hongzhe Sun (1:35.35) and Shaun Phillips (1:33.43) pipped the American record of 6:18.00 previously set by Texas in 2001 with a third-place time of 6:17.92.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn finished the day with a 102-point lead with 380 points, while Arizona sat second with 278 points.
