High school senior student-athletes from 41 states were recognized by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches of America for the 2014-2015 Academic All-America list. The athletes span the country, representing Hawaii, Alaska, Maine, Florida and more states in between.<\/p>\n

The NISCA Academic All-America list, compiled by NISCA from applications received by mail or online, rewards seniors who have achieved at least the minimum grade point average set by NISCA, and does not take athletic accomplishment into account except that student-athletes must have participated in an aquatic sport for their high school and lettered in the sport.<\/p>\n

Michigan was the top state in this year\u2019s program with 127 students on the list (69 boys, 127 girls). Texas (170) and Ohio (119) rounded out the top three states. California, the most populous state, ranks eighth on the list with 80 names.<\/p>\n

The 1,723 names on this year\u2019s list is the lowest since the 2010-2011 season. Last year, 1,867 student-athletes earned Academic All-America status.<\/p>\n
