{"id":141419,"date":"2015-07-05T12:54:55","date_gmt":"2015-07-05T19:54:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=141419"},"modified":"2015-07-28T18:05:46","modified_gmt":"2015-07-29T01:05:46","slug":"sarah-sjostrom-scratches-200-free-for-upcoming-world-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/sarah-sjostrom-scratches-200-free-for-upcoming-world-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarah Sjostrom Scratches 200 Free For Upcoming World Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After an incredibly successful week at the Swedish Summer Championships <strong>Sarah Sjostrom<\/strong> has decided to scratch\u00a0the 200-meter free from her events at the upcoming World Championships in Kazan, Russia.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes after a whopping six first-place finishes and two season bests at the Swedish Summer Championshpis.<\/p>\n<p>Coach <strong>Carl Jenner<\/strong> stated that he is incredibly happy with how Sjostrom has performed at the Summer Championships and that she is right where she needs to be in her preparation for the World Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Sjostrom and Jenner decided to remove the event so as to allow her to concentrate on her other individual events and relays.
